AS OF 2022, this video is 3 years old, but pointing out how to reset the buttons really helped me a lot. I did everything you said to do, got all the flashing lights, but my garage door still wouldn't open. I watched another video and it said at THIS point, go hit the "learn button" on the actual garage door opener, then hit the homelink button you want to use and it should work. That's what worked for me finally.

THANK YOU! This comment with your extra step saved my life! I had to hold down the homelink button after touching the learn button but it worked! I have a Ford 2012 Focus and I can now open the garage with it :)

Tried to program after watching the Ford video and the owners manual many trips up the ladder in the car and multiple cuss words still nothing. After watching you it took literally 30 seconds to get programmed!! Thank you

I have a Lincoln MK-Z. I tried the instructions from the Lincoln made you tube with no success..several times. I then found this video, followed her instructions to a T, and it worked perfectly for both of my garage doors. I did have to repeat the process 2 or 3 times, but it did take and works great! Thank you!

Thanks for the video. Works like a charm. I was able to program the Homelink on my 2018 Lincoln MKX. The procedure in the owners manual did not work. When all else fails, go to KZfaq!!

@@boodaghost6896 mine wasn’t working either and then I saw this extra step on a Ford instruction page. After following the video instructions: “press and hold the “learn” button on your garage door motor. Then get back in your vehicle and press the selected homelink button for two seconds and release it. Do this again. When the light goes from flashing slowly to rapidly it means you’re signal has been accepted and you may now put away that remote because you are done.”
