This blower slowly got worse, and eventually stopped working decently. The original owner thought it was worn out but when I looked, the piston and cylinder looked great. A carb rebuild and tune and it's back to working great!

Bill you changed shirts! That is a nice little blower. Easy fix, and not a ton of money invested. Thanks for the video! ✌🎥🇺🇸

I change shirts at least twice a day when working outside, but I usually stick with the "logo shirts" so nobody can tell.(I have 10 of them) This is my new garage blower, people keep buying my garage blowers and I didn't have one at the moment. LOL

funny thing is I just fix homelite blower I picked off side of road (different model), that had a new primer already, All I had todo was replace fuel lines that disintegrated, clean fuel filter, and adjust the Carb. the carb wasn't dirty, I bet what happened was they saw it had a bad primer, but after they fixed that discovered the bad fuel lines and then just threw it to the curb. Now that I fixed it its listed for sale. great rebuild on that carb. I typically when a carb needs a rebuild just replace it with a chinese one, its likely the same one that's already in it

You couldn't imagine how often I hear the words "it just needs a primer bulb" 🤣What do you get for them in your neck of the woods? I usually sell good ones like this for around $50 here in Dallas

@dfields9511 If I get an offer for $45, I would take it for one of these. They are only $100 or so new.

Homlite made/makes? some good stuff. I always got along good with it and you did too. I always try and adjust it 1st but if that won't fix it I get a kit. 72 and sunny here and mowing directly. Stay COOL, Pal!

I dork around with them quite a bit before I make a video too. I am with you, they are the best thing you will find unless you double the cost.

@@GuysPlayingWithTools We used a couple of free Featherlites for no telling how lomg. I didn't have carb tools so I used a Deamel with a burr and ground down the carb so's I could adjust it with needlenose. They still worked when I gave them to our son-in-law. No use getting hi-dollar when FREE works just as good!

@@lewiemcneely9143 Once upon a time I used a dremel and a cutting bit the create a flathead on mine, it needed more than an adjustment though and I was young and dumb so I ended up replacing it. Thinking back on how hard it was to figure out when I was a rookie is one of the motivations for the channel.

I tell people all the time that they are the best bargain blower on the market, they blow strong and if they are maintained they will work for years and years. I am going to use this as the new shop blower. 👍

I have exact same blower exact same problem full choke to run eventually now won't start at all now I'm going to try this then I was assuming a cleaning would fix it or maybe not

You will need to replace the diaphragms for sure in this case but, as you saw, it's pretty easy and usually works great. If you haven't tried to adjust anything since it started having problems, then you shouldn't have to change any of the settings

Hi! I need your help!!! I have a HOMELITE leaf blower/vac exactly like this one for 5 years and I seldom use it. It was still running last November, but it couldn't start now. I haven't changed the fuel for the past 2 years. So, I started from changing the fuel to "Truefuel" suggested by Lowes. The fuel line still looks clean (so I didn't replace it). I replaced the carburetor (complete set purchased from Amazon for 19.99), and spark plug. After doing all of these, the blower still doesn't work! Is there anything that could possibly prevent it from starting? PLZ reply (crying in the corner

@wwmmnicole No worries, it will live again. I have a 1/2 finished video that I will get back on this afternoon so it can release in the next day or so. In the mean time: Check the fuel lines and make sure they aren't backwards Check the gasket between the carb and motor, Make sure the holes ALL align Replace the spark plug, champion RJ7YC I have a tuning vid, use it to tune the new carb

One more question what causes the diaphragm to go bad just natural wear or all dirt rust and wear mine is only 3 yrs old and no go this year

You can ask more than one LOL. Seriously though... The ethanol in modern fuel is not bad, until it sits for a while, then it's really bad. If you leave fuel in the machine over the winter, or for any extended time, it will reach a point where it starts damaging the gaskets. My golden rule is, if it's going to sit for more than a month or so, I drain the fuel and run it until it stalls. 👍

Mine has no throttle in the handle it only has control on the carburator itself that is idle or full throttle ahead that one you just worked in looked to have a finger trigger did it
@GuysPlayingWithTools
@GuysPlayingWithTools 3 ай бұрын
This one did have the finger trigger. I see blowers like yours now and then. I prefer the trigger for myself, but it's because I have a lot of "down time" walking around when I do the yard. The ones without the trigger are a bit easier to work on since there is no linkage. 👍

@jamesatkinson5027 So do I Ethanol is "ok" until it gets old. The easy thing to do is toss a cheap Amazon carb on, the fun thing to do is get a kit and rebuild it. Let me know how it goes 👍
