Sounds almost like an electronic snare. Like a dubstep or house snare.

You can get a similar "electronic" sounding snare by placing a small splash cymbal on your snare and hitting the cymbal, i first saw it used by Benny Greb back in the day.

Wow I am totally impressed. When you said you were going to rivet the two of them together, I didn't have very high expectations, but the sound is incredible. It sounds like a stack of layered various samples like snare, hi hat and clap, often used as a "snare" in electronic music.

Just discovered you and became a subscriber about a month or two back and find your videos very creative, informative and enjoyable. Envy you your situation of dovetailing three of your passions; drums, wood/metal working and video production into a synergistic, single creative outlet. I assume it must bring you hours of enjoyment. I say "assume" because it's hard to tell with your low-key persona, but of course that's part of your charm. Keep 'em coming man.

I have the Sabian Hoop Crasher, have had it for a good 3 years now. I like the product I have, but from what I hear here and from the one I own, yours sounds well enough that you can get by with it. Jojo usually tunes the snare that uses the Hoop Crasher way low, so that's how he can get his punch with it. I really need to try this with a BFSD, because that sounded absolutely killer.
