I am a mother of three; just doing my best to raise Godly children and find joy doing it. I am a busy wife as I strive to make intentional parenting my goal while making my relationship with my husband my priority. My passion is teaching and I find myself hoarding most teaching/office supplies in my closets. I am the creator of the Preschool With Me, distance learning preschool program. I love to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, my kiddos, and History. All my other interests can fit nicely into one word: Pinterest. I love baking, decorating, dreaming, making, free fun printables, motivational quotes, tips, tricks, and ideas by the millions. Lastly, I have an unwavering testimony of Jesus Christ and base my entire life around His Gospel; The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This channel is dedicated first to my husband who is my better half and to my mother who inspired it all.
Thanks for Watching!

With that math education logic (tech/phones), what is the point of learning anything? lol I will tell you I have many family members in tech and math is extremely important. No only is high level math college courses called weeder classes for science, engineering, medical and technology degrees (where they basically weed out weaker students from the program), but the logic it teaches you is critical in those fields. Of course you know your kids best if they are on track to become a writer or an artist then you are right, not nearly as important!

I hear you! It is so true. And if a child is feeling the draw to those tech classes, they’ll need a strong base in math. Know your kids! That is such a benefit to homeschooling is that we can cater to their educational strengths and needs and give them the foundations for their future!

It was something I made. Just a table on a word document with some clipper to snazzy it up.

Does the evan moor finacial literacy focus on American money?
@FullPurposeAndHeart

Yes and no. 😬 It’s money concepts mostly. Vocabulary and needs/wants, refunds, budgets. Using money in “different countries”. But anytime an example is given they use the $ sign. I’ll put together a look-in-the-book video. That may help explain better.

We love CLE English. I only use their Reading through grade 2. After that my children have been able to read chapter books on their own. So far we’ve used up to grade 5 English and it’s going well.

We dabble in CLE here and there and I’m always happy with their stuff!! I’m considering swapping my other son’s math to them. 🤔

Of course, there are differences in teaching English between grade levels. In 3rd grade, students learn simple past, present, future tenses of verbs. In higher levels, they can learn the progressive and perfect tenses. In 3rd grade, they only deal with simple sentences. In higher levels, they will learn compound, complex, compound-complex sentences. Also, what is important in math is to develop the skill of estimation and numerical reasoning. Without these, even if you are using a calculator or a computer, you will get a wrong answer if you do not have any idea how to input the numbers correctly. Example, if you want to start a lemonade business, you need to determine how much you would sell a cup. You need the skill to compute the cost, estimate the profit and losses so you can calculate the price point. I also do not like when children are taught to be only consumers of technology. More and more jobs will be automated soon and everyone needs to learn coding at some point.
