Homo naledi, once evolution's 'rising star,' was considered to be a prime example of human evolution. But is it really proof? Or is this discovery just another dishonest attempt to garner fame, funding, and fortune?
Host Trey and Dr. Jeff Tomkins discuss this vital topic on episode 69 of The Creation Podcast!

I just did a youtube search on Homo Naledi and the number one promoter coming up is National Geographic. All 8 year old videos but these are what the public sees regularly if they have an interest. I had to scroll pretty far before finding the first debunking but by then I had also seen a CBS spot promoting it and of course numerous other lesser known faces of evolution. It can’t fit no matter if it almost seems perfect as abiogenesis proved to be an iimpossibility meaning the biological end of it cannot be possible. Dating it at 300,000 up to a million is an absolute licking the finger and sticking it up into the sky and guessing, that is pathetic. But we don’t need to date it at all because of the work done by Dr James Tour in abiogenesis proving biology cannot be discussed other than as mythology because transitional forms is a superfluous waste of time

For people who don't currently have access to papers through a university, it's worth checking with your public library and with local university libraries to find out about interlibrary loans and online library access. Where I live, there are a couple of public library options for interlibrary loans, and I found out that a major university in my city offers a one-time access code for online research if you go there in person. I took that option for convenience. The one-time code still grants me access through the university's library even when I'm not on site.

This isn't the first time they have tried to hype a find and make it early human when its not. Michael Cremo wrote a book over 1k pages of out of place artifacts. I saw an interesting video of a KZfaqr who spent some time with a tribe in Africa who still live a very basic hunter-gatherer type of lifestyle. They were taking a break while on a baboon hunting trip, so he asked the head guy some questions about death, thinking he was going to learn something profound about their beliefs; however, the reply was a very simple and matter of fact: 'when someone dies, we just leave them at the back of a cave somewhere and move along.' It was like a lightbulb moment for me: this sounded exactly like the remains that were found in these caves, and I see no reason why there always needs to be any deep meaning or ritual attached to it.

@@mizmeraExactly! Darwinian evolution by natural selection is evolution, by a small gradual process; genetic mutation by nature “selecting” favorable traits. There is nothing in the fossil record that shows the gradual change of speciation. A lot of secular scientists say the Tiktaalik was a crucial transitional ancestor. Entirely different to put out stories just to keep a job or you don't want to lose credibility admitting you were wrong. Love of money (job) or ego is sinful. Not so forgivable. Many scientists and others are having second thoughts about evolution and creation. Many things are being found that prove the great flood happened and the Bible is a historical account of it. Fact is, there is something like 400,000 versions of the bible in existence today (that’s versions, not translations). The major religions can’t even agree on how many books there are in the bible so how can anyone possibly know that their bible is “the real deal”? Jesus has been compared to a broad variety of figures from various mythological traditions within the Mediterranean Basin, including, Horus, Dionysus, Mithras, Sol Invictus, Osiris, Asclepius, Attis, and Adonis. For instance Osiris was crucified, died and rose up on the third day. The New Testament was written in Greek, as well. And for the first few centuries CE, there was a great deal of influence from Hellenistic (Greek) philosophy onto Christianity, from the very idea of a “Christ”, or savior, to the Platonic ideas of the soul and afterlife, which was largely foreign to the Jewish tradition. Jesus was a Christian form of the Greek god Dionysus. He argues that the indisputable parallels between Dionysus and Jesus were one of the key factors that facilitated the adoption of Christianity by the ancient Greeks, who initially practiced polytheistic paganism. The Jesus story in the Bible is a recycled version of the Horus story. The comparisons given below prove without a doubt that the whole Bible is full of myths and stories recycled from earlier times and made to fit the various characters of the Bible. “The scholar John Mill, no apparent relation of the philosopher John Stuart Mill, published a Greek New Testament in 1707 that showed 30,000 different available readings from only 100 manuscripts at his disposal. He was accused of trying to destroy Christianity by pointing out the truth. … We now have over 57,000 different manuscripts available and contemporary scholars believe there are between 300,000 and 400,000 different versions of the New Testament. That is more different versions of the New Testament than there are words in it. Since we don’t have any original documents, or copies, or copies of the copies, etc., we have no idea which of these 400,000 variations is the perfect one. Frankly, it boggles the mind that someone could imagine that if 400,000 different versions have come down to us that there could be one ‘perfect’ version.” Yes, folks, but Ixion was crucified for the sins of mankind. Similar story with Dionysus, Mithra, Krishna, Horus and the rest of the mythical god-men. Jesus Christ is the Jews god-man to the pagans. Simple as that.

In 2014 Eldon J. Epp raised the estimate as high as 750,000. Peter J.
