This video covers removing both the clutch and stator covers and the gubbins inside.
Including:
Clutch bearing, springs and clutch basket itself.
The crankshaft position sensor.
The flywheel.
Starter gear, reduction gear and shaft.
Oil spinner.
Balancer drive gears,
Gearshift stopper, plate and spring.
The gear shift shaft.
Timing chain and guides.
This video takes us right up to the point where we can split the case.

I've had the same problem on a 2017 cb125f, i drove until i ran out of oil and the piston broke. I went to a mechanic to repair it and it's fine for the most part, seems to get better as i use it more but theres one problem: it dies on idle or when i pull the clutch, the engine starts to choke and eventually dies if i dont rev it everytime it is not in gear, from what i could find this sounds like an engine vacuum leak, if you have any suggestions i'd be all ears. Hiya, sorry your having troubles. Have you tried re setting or re-initialising the PGM EFi? It needs doing after messing about with the engine/ECU etc. Might help reset the throttle position sensor etc. I'll see if I can find some instructions, but it should be online somewhere. Procedure should be the same for most of the Hondas, not just the CB125F.

Ah sorry Brad, not quite able to do that for you right now. The bike is still in storage and I'm flat out this week. What wires have you got loose? Most wires are short and/or have a plug on the end which means they can only really reach one thing.

Is the rotor retaining nut left hand thread? Quite important to get it right!

Not in this case, they were all regular 'righty tighty, lefty loosey'! But I do agree, those occasional left hand threads can certainly catch you out...

Gpz550s are lh thread. It shud be a thing that lh threads have an additional black plastic washer as an indicator that ppl immediately recognise. But the manufacturers are pretty low on common sense. Every time I work on bikes I spot a mistake like this.

@@barnbersonol More power I guess, but this 125 doesn't have enough torque to undo an M10 lol! A different washer or even nut colour would be a great idea! But like you said, the manufacturers have no interest in making it easy to do maintenance!

I got all my parts from David Silvers in the UK... but they really sell parts for older bikes. So, it's best if you find the part numbers you need from another website, and then search for the exact part numbers on David Silvers website (or contact them, they are very helpful!)... Really good service and prices, cheap shipping for me too (in Norway!) 🙂
