My very first brand new bike the CB250RS it was in a beautiful all sky blue colour and there was something purely magical about the sound of that single cylinder thumper, it would leave my mates 250 super-dream for dead acceleration and top speed. I passed my test and bought a CX500, I was fond of my new bike but strangely missed the 250. As for the safety gear all the gear all the time and the best you can afford regardless what the weather is doing

Rs 250 great little bike ,as for the gear even when popping around town for shopping ect minimum heavy jeans decent jacket gloves helmet boots .and probably being overtaken by electric mountain biker who has just shorts on and trainers.

I had one and fitted it with a wiseco 305 cc piston and stage one cam. Made a good difference! The electric starter struggled with the compression a bit though....! Great bike that Honda should have officially slapped its xl500 engine into, as some folks did.

That sounds like a good little hop-up kit! It's a shame stuff like that isn't available now 😕

Living in south east Asia. Helmet, trainers, shorts and t shirt is the standard for everyone. No gloves, some people don't wear helmets and most are actually riding bikes in flip flops! More bikes than cars On the road and car owners seem to be very courteous to us bikers.

@@MrDesmonick In SE Asia there's less opportunity to go as fast as you are in this video. Most the bingles I've seen (and been in too!) happen at less than 40kmh. Not so much risk really.

I am a fully paid up member of all the gear all the time. Anyone who does not is risking a life of misery when you leave your skin on the bitumen. There are far too many lunatics on the roads and like you say, there is nothing you can do about it if an idiot driver fails to see you.

Same here. Having had a crash where the car sat patiently waiting for me to be on him before he pulled out in front of me, you never know what someone else will do 😞
