If you’re taking votes on the direction, I’d say restore. Restoring is actually a challenge. If not restore, I’d vote to go classic race bike.

Thank you for editing out the tedious details. Many video makers do not understand that point and include everything down to the last minutiae. Good job at giving life to old bikes. I just love the sound of these old Hondas. I had a CL350 and like everyone else, sad that I got rid of it.

Love your channel. New Sub here in Australia. I reckon you should do what you originally said in the comments. Make it stay looking original, but upgrade parts to newer standards. God I wish I could find that bike in the Australian market. My daily ride is a new NC750 Honda. I really want a project bike. With such a small population (and the fact that owning multiple vehicles is bloody expensive here) there isn't alot of restorable bikes here.

Ian Stevenson I don’t mean purely original like a factory/concours bike. I just mean to keep the essence of the bikes original design. You know, like retaining the lines of the factory bike. It is what makes them unique. When people make classic bikes into something they are not, they all begin to look the same. Classic-original bikes are becoming extremely rare and I think it takes a lot of restraint and understanding by keeping a motorcycle the way it was always intended by its designers. I would hope one day people would spare these classic motorcycles and purchase new motorcycles that have a modern-classic/retro design instead.

"everyone is doing brats and choppers" Thats because they are so popular, bikes are not antiques and should not be treated as so.

>a 70s honda is not an antique man you must not know what an antique is. according to the AMCA, an antique is a bike 35 years old or older, meaning anything before 1983 is considered antique. yes UJMs are plentiful, but it wont be the case forever. once upon a time you could build a harley knucklehead out of the junkyard for sub 200 bucks in 1950s money. now even a chopped up knuckle with mismatched cases and no title can go for more than new liter bikes today. they arent plentiful forever.

That's correct, and in most states you can get an Antique bike tag registration for a one time fee, but it can't be an every day use. Check your local DMV.

Any tricks to getting carbs back on a bike? I recently took the carbs off my 75 CB750 for the first time. (My first time doing any maintenance on a motorcycle.) They were really hard to get back on, even with brand new boots. I finally had to use heat, a ratcheting strap and a 2 x 4 to get them to pop back on all 4 boots.

My question is multi connected vintage wire looms that's use o wire for multiple Connections.. I'm stuck on cancelling ground wires.. Its on a ohc single cylinder classic style.. Every ground on the bike seems bad... I'm trying to eliminate the weakest links by rewiring with new wires to direct grounds and stuff like that.... The headlight mess I have is horrible I just want to stick a two wire led light on it Or maybe mount a flashlight lol

Hey, your videos have been very helpful. I just cleaned and rebuilt the carburetor on my 71 CB 500. Got it back on and got it started up. It Idles pretty well, and after its warm it will run with the choke open. However when I gets over about 2000 rpm, it starts revving up to about 3000rpm and it wont come back down without killing the engine. Any idea of what might be causing the engine to run away? I have not messed with the idle screws yet. Thanks for your suggestions!
