In this video I show you how I replace the rear right door actuator of my
Honda CRV 2006. This method maybe similar to other CRV models and other car brands. Right door also fits the Tailgate actuator.

I seen a lot of videos on replacing the actuator, but this one by far one of the best videos I ever seen that gets to the point short and sweet step-by-step. thank you very much perfect editing doesn’t get better than this again thank you.😁

Did both rear doors on a 2005 CRV great B. 1st one no problem, 90 minutes. 2nd one PITA! Stripped screw on the actuator.... Finally removed and was lucky to have replacement screw...3 hours.... both done and working.... probably saved 800 - 900 at dealer. Thanks for the video!

Forgot to mention, I didn't remove the entire door assy to replace the actuator although if I did it would probably been easier to remove the stripped screw...

THANK YOU! Of all of the DIY videos that you show you are the very best for the Honda CRV Gen 2/2.1. Got my rear tailgate and passenger door actuator done easily without frustration at all. It was so easy I will do my front pass side actuaor even though it works to avoid issues. Thanks agin!

It does not seem very easy to do, to be honest. But what bothers me is not so much the replacement itself. Once you separate all those plastic panels, screws, push pins and so on, I'm fairly certain there's going to be some rattling coming from all the doors after you assemble them all back again on a 20 year old car that has never seen an inside of a garage. Old plastic tends to get brittle and I expect at least some of those plastic parts are going to break off in one way or another, either when taking the thing apart or wen assembling it. All four actuators have long ago died on my 2005 CRV, some aftermarket ones are cheap enough to be worth installing but I'm wondering if it's really worth risking having all the doors on your car rattling like a maraca after the job. Maybe one could at least get a set of those pins to replace the broken and hardened ones?

@aleskranjc9650, correct! It was a pain, but that's the risk we have to take...I guess. Just make sure to replace the pins with new ones and put back everything in their proper place as close to original as possible, and you're good to go. Thanks for commenting. It means a lot. Cheers mate!

Did 5 pin actuator can be use in front and rear? or its unique?
