Another of the rusty, rotted Michigan bikes gets a new life. First ride in probably 40+ years.

It is so nice your dad is interested in getting the CT70’s running. Amazing

Dad is a lifelong mechanic and motorcycle enthusiast. He threw me on a Z50 when I was 4 or 5. At 83, I’m thrilled that he still loves to turn a wrench. The man loves a good challenge……and he’s got his hands full with these bikes. 😀

Love to learn some of your pops old school knowledge

He’ll be 83 next month. I learned a new trick from him yesterday. He has a hard time seeing/adjusting the points, thru that small slot in the flywheel. The man removed the center steel part of an old flywheel, which has the cam lobe, and uses that to adjust the points, without having the whole flywheel in his way. I’d never seen that one before. 🤣

Your dad is awesome and so are you, if you ever take another road trip to tx but in the Houston area, I would love to buy a project bike from you , I picked up a 1970 h 5 years ago only took me almost two years to get it going, but worth it 👍

We were just in the Houston area, back in February. We saw Terry Burleigh in Pasadena and “Small Bore Two Wheels” in Katy. Didn’t know you were in that area, would have loved to meet.

The man loves tinkering in the garage and turning wrenches. I hope I’m still able to do the same at 83.

I bought all of the turn signals and mounts from the guy in Michigan. Holler if you're interested.
@MiniBikeMikeАй бұрын
Are they for the K3 or the 80’s models?
@tedy1241Ай бұрын
@@MiniBikeMike Definitely for K3 models.
@MiniBikeMikeАй бұрын
@tedy1241 That’s awesome. Those chrome rear mounts are hard to find. I ask him about them, but said he didn’t have them. Maybe sold them to you before I got there. He had a bunch of the black mounts, from the 80’s, but I wasn’t interested in those.
