drain and fill the rear dif fluid. if it is most noticeable when turning it will definitely fix the issue. Had similar with CRV and another element. use the honda fluid.

Mine was the Differential mount the one with rubber bushing, i can literally move it up and down, but i dont know if thats causing the terrible vibration at highway speed

I had the same problem mine was a little worse than that. Easy easy fix. The rear axle shaft can move like two inches back and forth. Grab it and move it till you feel like is the center. It’s like it popped out of it socket and it needs a little help to get back in to place.

Is the rust by the axel superficial or liable to get worse? Looks like mine... Also is that just another mount? The thing above the axel? I was trying to figure out what it's called. I recently had the main mount replaced but the rubber on the one you show here looks rough on mine and wondering if it's responsible for the noise I get when turning right on an incline. I'm doing stabilizer bar bushings once they arrive in the mail, another suspected cause of the noise...

This is definitely low differential fluid. You can hear it gurgling in side the differential housing. Change the fluid. Only use Honda Duel Pump II though. It's specially designed for Honda only.

@@briankc21 Did you replace the mounts? If so, did you have to remove the bracket mounted to the top of the diff? Do they need to be pressed in? Thanks

Hi, good video, did you feel the same vibration while turning the SUV? I have something similar, but you can only feel the vibration when turning either side. Did you replace the differential mount assy also?

Yes, replaced the three mounts, noise and vibration while on sharp turns

Also change your rear differential fluid with oem fluid will make big difference also

My Crv 05 have some weird vibration it’s like the rear wheels are locking up as well

I got the very same problem. Very scary noise while driving on the road. First, when turning, then got worse. I was on the road and the only fast fix was to remove the rear axle since no parts were available.

I have a rhythmic thumping from the rear of my 2014 crv. I've changed the bearings and axles already - am about to drop the differential and replace the mount.

Turns out it was something with the brakes. I took calipers apart, greased the pins, even put a little grease on the back of the rotor where it could possibly contact the brake shield, put everything back together and it was gone. Changed the differential fluid before I replaced the axels and wheel bearings.@@derekcraig3617

Use only honda fluid, change it regular or you will get this noise and symptom.

I have this same noise, but only at highwayspeeds, mostly. Could it just be old fluid in the differential? I haven't checked the bushings yet.

I have this very problem tonight...it came on as I took a trip late at night to northern NH.....so far from home, not sure what to do. Maybe take it to a garage I guess. How long did you drive it this way?

@@briankc21 Thanks....I will do that. It does seem like a mount problem of some sort because I seem to be able to make the noise go away by accelerating in reverse for a few feet.....almost as though I am "pushing" something into a particular position. From there it doesn't make noise for a few miles then it slowly comes back. Thanks for the rely. (I am in northern NH and not hear home....so I have to get home to really look at it closer)

scotty, you clearly don't know anything about hondas or cars. this is a common issue from lack of maintenance. Diff mounts and fluid need to be changed often
