This old Honda was worked on by someone who shouldn't work on any thing like a mower or any other running machine. Seriously !!!!

Bruce, sorry about your crew member, I've lost a few from mine but the memories will live on forever. Now, I learned something new again from you, never knew about the J.S.I. screws or tools but I have a few Hondas in my hoard out back so I just ordered a set of driver tips from amazon figuring I might just need them later. Thank you sir for the continued education

They work great on regular Phillips to. I actually put my old Phillips away. It is a depth thing. The old ones are too pointy.

Wow this one certainly was a challenge. So many little things wrong with it and you did it without spending a bunch of money on the machine. Now that it is done she should be an excellent mower for someone for sometime I would think. Oh and by the way thanks for explaining the JIS screw and screwdrivers. I have wondered what the deal really was. Now I know. Thanks for all you do for your followers. Thanks for the video.

Great job Bruce! I love these mowers, had three of them in here this summer for blade clutch, carb and drive issues. I was so impressed with the build quality that I bought one for myself (like I need another mower). Hope you get that one! I picked up an HR214 SMA with electric start and 2 speed drive but the manual push ones are even better (less to break down). I’m a huge fan of that blade clutch design, much better than the belt style Toro uses.

The only problem with the snapper I have with the Robin engine, the blade brake clutch didn't work. From the age of the snapper, the brake material had fallen apart, and since this clutch system uses a strap type clutch with clutch like material is rivited / glued to the strap, which they don't sell, you have to buy the whole assembly 200 some odd dollars, I said yeah right. You know the green clutch material they include with the friction disk for rear engine snapper riders, well it's the same material, so I cut the green material to fit within the strap, and just glued it on like a pair of drum brakes like back in the day, it's not the space shuttle right.... Lol works perfectly, I will put the video up of the job soon. The Honda clutch system is much better made though.... Great video Sir.
