Do the wipers on your Honda or Acura come up and hit the A pillar during operation? Are they loose and just don’t clear the windshield like they should? If so, this video will show you how to solve that problem.
It’s actually an easy repair that doesn’t cost that much.

Used this on my 06' Accord EX. The small control arm was worn just like in your video. Getting the plastic parts back in their proper places was the hardest part! Wipers work perfectly now, smooth and quiet. Well done, thanks!

Thank you for this video. Because of this video, I was able to fix my Honda Accord. I too had to buy the parts from Honda directly. I paid just under $28 ($14 a piece). The arms popped off the first time I snapped them on. In other words, I didn't have them snapped on all the way. So...I had to do this repair twice. So far so good. I have used the wipers and they no longer hit the side of my car nor do they "hop" across the windshield. Again, thank you for posting this video. It was really helpful and saved me probably $200-$300.

Thank You Eric the car guy :) been needing this for over a year now. Last year bought new wipers since the middle of my windshield wouldn’t wipe going down to find it never really helped so I tried removing wiper arms same still. Then your other video saying it was these bushing or washers and now I know I can fix the problem and finally use the mat black paint I got for the arms. Thank you ETCG

Thanks for the video. Gave the confidence to look into my 2013 CRV issue myself. Driver's side arm was moving as you demonstrated at the start of your clip, but I tried just tightening the bolt on that side first and that seems to have fixed it. Not sure if that's a common occurrence. In any case, now I know how to get to the wiper transmission for the future.

Thanks so much Eric. Been looking for a specific video for a repair of this nature for the last 4/5 years until recently. Ordered the new rods for my Honda Prelude wiper transmission and it worked like a charm. Now just have to work on resetting them so that the motor stops them at the bottom of the window rather than in the middle when turning them off.

Yeah, my 97 saturn has this issue as well. I'm not sure it's as easy as popping off the arm like you did, because I feel like the saturn has everything more permenantly fixed, but this video was good to see regardless. Another fun fact about the saturn, the wiper assembly is tucked way back up in the car and it's nearly impossible to remove without moving the wiper blades up to around 45 degrees and doing a whole lot of fiddling with the assembly. Another fun fact about the saturn, it's got bolts in the passenter compartment, so to get the assembly off you have to pull out the whole dash and take out some bolts to get the assembly out. I guess it's fair because the saturn is a subcompact, but it's so so much harder to do on the saturn, I know because I've replaced my wiper motor THREE TIMES on the stupid thing.

Looking good again and easy with your tutorial :-D A frends car had slightly worse, one of the plastic cups was so worn that the arm just fell off, my nasty bodge was to find a clear plastic bag and stretch it over the ball, then push the cup back on, it took the play up. He got home in the rain with wipers, that was last year, and its still working, too good a bodge lol.
