I appreciate your video. I had a2018 NC750X for 33,000 miles and changed the tires more times than I remember😅! Suggestion, if your going to go to the trouble to remove the wheels, get some tire tools and a balancer and change your own tires as well! The first time you DIY you'll have payed for your tools. BTW, I just received a 2024 with the same paint as yours.

10:51 looks like those pads and the pin are in need of a bloody good clean up and copper ease 😊

yes I'll be going through the brakes again when I fit the new sprockets and chain, the NC is hard on brakes

@@birchwoodbiker How many miles are you getting from pads? I replaced the fonts on my 2018 at 30,000 miles, and the back where original when I traded it. It was a manual transmission, is the DCT harder on pads?

Good video Paul. never that easy on the ground. Definitely gets harder as you get older. No quality on any makes these days.

Noticed you never replace the new pads with the original shims any reason , also when you adjusted the chain it moved two time -tighter and you could see it would be tight when you take it off the stand and put your weight on it ,

@@birchwoodbiker no I noticed on my Mac the inner front pad has what looks like a stainless steel shim and another that’s attached to the pad , just noticed you didn’t add it to your inside front pad , good informative video 👍

👍 Hi Paul, you could try Putoline- Ceramic Grease.

Front caliper - would it be easier putting the wheel on first and then slide the caliper on afterwards? Or is there more of a risk damaging the pads?

Here's one to ask, brake lever adjustment via the dial. How is this done? I was assuming it was by pressing the level away from you and then turning it by hand....nope. mine is either seized stiff, or I'm doing something wrong.

That brake pads are the honda original?

23 plate bike with that much corrosion, have you ridden it through the winter? have said it before hondas paint quality is abysmal.
@jeffreylindop57825 ай бұрын
a lot of people will say oh its a budget bike what do you expect, but im affraid at £8000 the quality should be far better, and as for the basic box frame swingarm thats a joke, honda you can do better.

i think i'l get mine on the ramp and have a look the pistons look really cheap and crap shame on you honda, you'l have to let us know if them pads work any better on the front i was thinking of changing mine the brakes ain't the best on em.

Personally I'd remove the disc to prevent any chance of it being hit and possibly warped ☺️ I don't entirely trust tyre monkeys 😏

Yes I know a lot of people who do, I shouldn't be so lazy 🤣👍👍👍
