Honda VFR 750 (RC36) Valve Clearance Check - Part 1 - Rear Cylinders

3 жыл бұрын**Checking the valve clearances on a motorcycle engine is a job best left to a qualified mechanic. If you decide to do this job yourself then you should follow an approved Honda service manual rather than relying on this video**
In this video I show in detail how I checked the valve clearances on the rear cylinders of my 1996 VFR 750 (RC36). I demonstrate how to check the valve clearances on the two front cylinders in the follow up video, part 2.
The engine must be cold when completing the valve clearance check so only complete at least 12 hours after the engine was running. You will need a feeler gauge to complete the check.
Intake Valve Clearance tolerance: 0.16 mm +/- 0.03 mm
Exhaust Valve Clearance tolerance: 0.25 mm +/- 0.03 mm

right angle feeler gauges would have been very useful here. Also take the feelers gauges out of the holder when using. Makes life a whole lot easier. Take the spark plugs out as well, makes turning the engine easier.

I wouldn't take the spark plugs out personally... if your clumsy like me having the spark plugs in is a good idea so you don't drop something in the cylinders, like those loose feeler gauges.

@@braydenstringer6444 If you're inclined to drop feelers gauges in the spark plug holes, you shouldn't be allowed nowhere near an engine. lol.

Bonjours pouvez-vous me renseigner j'ai deux vfr un rc36 1 et un rc36 2 que je viens d'acheter le rc36 2 rentré au garage un soir n'a jamais voulu redemarer 2jours après plus d'allumage pas d'étincelles aux bougie est ce que vous avez une idée de la panne régulateur changé alternateur changé merci d'avance je suis de Loire atlantique
