My brother has one that has been stood in his garage for around 3 years and it developed a petrol tap leak. He tried to repair this, which led to him removing the carbs, but to do so, he had to cut the two centre carb boots to remove them. But now he wished he hadn't as this is a bike that is rare in this Country, being a bike made for the Japanese market only, and a few have made it across from Europe to the UK. Does anyone know where parts for this bike can be found?

I did give "silverspares" a whirl. but not much available for this bike.

No luck with Silverspares. They had limited parts for this bike. No carb, or carb boot parts.

These bikes are "Rare as Hen's Teeth" in this Country. Yet my brother has one standing in his garage, which has developed carb problems, due to sitting there for years. He really needs new carb boots from the carbs to the engine. Can anyone help? He can't ride it anymore, says its too heavy, and I've sat on it, and it is bloody heavy. He needs knee surgery, and looking to get rid. Can anyone help him get the parts to get it running again?

It's my old Bike I had it 19 years I spent a fortune refurbishing it ...I should never have traded it.

I traded it to Fasttrack motorcycles for a Yamaha XSR900...I never gelled with that bike...im tempted to buy it back actually...you might get a phone call from Falkirk .

@thulsadoom544 aww that sucks ,xsr is an OK bike but I guess they are an easy bike to own and less so to fall in love with ,I'm really sorry though ,the X4 has now been sold ,I feel like I've just burnt someone's favourite pub down 🙃
