Good point about the centerstand adding weight to the bike and how it's at a low center of gravity.

The key here is using the zip ties to pull back both springs. I used the palm of my right hand on the foot (left side) to gain torque. I also found three ties to be enough.

Awesome video, just installed my OEM gen 2 center stand on my bike, no wobble. Zip tie option worked great, used three ties and channel lock for leverage.

I think we can make a little hole in the stand axle to install a greasing point in order to lube it from time to time with a grease pump.

I suggest to add lock tite on the 5 mm screw

the smaller spring should normally be inside the bigger one no?

I think that 20 N*m is too much for the 6 mm socket bolt. According to the center stand installation manual for the NC700X, that is similar, the tightening torque has to be 12 N*m.

So how does yours fit? my bike wobbles from left to right when its on the main stand (OEM one) and my dealer made a warranty claim, is yours stable?

The good thing is that the weight is down low.

Just recived my honda center stand. Its terrible, has rust on almost every weld spots.

It is tragic to order as an accessory ,something that already exists in other bikes..I have a cb500x of 2018 and i have spend more than 1800€ equipping the bike..

si cand te gandesti ca tuareg vine stock cu tot ce ai pus tu pe transalp. plus o suspensie de vre o 10 ori mai performanta. mi am luat si eu transalp. dar interactiunea cu oamenii de la honda din romania m a dezamagit total. maine as da o sa nu o mai vad
