Ways to focus during quiet time: -Turn on worship music so that it floods the atmosphere -just start telling God he’s good and whatever else good qualities about him you could think. -talk about the things your grateful for -avoid using your phone during this time -use a physical Bible -try a prayer journal -write prayer points and speak them outloud as prayers to the Lord -and even just try to do fun little dances and enjoy your time with the Lord 💖💖 If you read this far I showed my Christian girl morning routine on my own channel and kind of includes most of these tips in that video. So sorry for the plug in but maybe you all may find it helpful!!

If I don’t have my quiet time at the start of the day, then nothing seems to work properly in the rest of the day. Even if I say to myself, I’ll do it later, the day doesn’t flow as well and I have more struggles if I don’t do it. I’m learning just to ‘rest’ in Him in the mornings. Forcing yourself to do it helps the “squirrel brain.” 🙏✝️😊💜

Thanks for sharing, and you are not alone. I read this in a devotional by Oswald Chambers this week. "The proof that our relationship is right with God is that we do our best whether we feel inspired or not. One of the worst traps a Christian worker can fall into is to become obsessed with his own exceptional moments of inspiration. When the spirit of God gives you a time of inspiration and insight, you tend to say, "now that I've experienced this moment, I will always be like this for God." No, you will not, and God will make sure of that. Those times are entirely the gift of God. You cannot give them to yourself when you choose."

@@coffeeandbibletime Allah(GOD) describes birth of jesus christ in quran surah(chapter) mary "And mention in the Book ˹O Prophet, the story of˺ Mary when she withdrew from her family to a place in the east, screening herself off from them. Then We sent to her Our angel, ˹Gabriel,˺ appearing before her as a man, perfectly formed. She appealed, “I truly seek refuge in the Most Compassionate from you! ˹So leave me alone˺ if you are God-fearing.” He responded, “I am only a messenger from your Lord, ˹sent˺ to bless you with a pure son.” She wondered, “How can I have a son when no man has ever touched me, nor am I unchaste?” He replied, “So will it be! Your Lord says, ‘It is easy for Me. And so will We make him a sign for humanity and a mercy from Us.’ It is a matter ˹already˺ decreed.” So she conceived him and withdrew with him to a remote place. Then the pains of labour drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She cried, “Alas! I wish I had died before this, and was a thing long forgotten!” So a voice1 reassured her from below her, “Do not grieve! Your Lord has provided a stream at your feet. And shake the trunk of this palm tree towards you, it will drop fresh, ripe dates upon you. So eat and drink, and put your heart at ease. But if you see any of the people, say, ‘I have vowed silence1 to the Most Compassionate, so I am not talking to anyone today.’” Then she returned to her people, carrying him. They said ˹in shock˺, “O Mary! You have certainly done a horrible thing! O sister of Aaron!1 Your father was not an indecent man, nor was your mother unchaste.” So she pointed to the baby. They exclaimed, “How can we talk to someone who is an infant in the cradle?” ˹Jesus˺ declared, “I am truly a servant of Allah. He has destined me to be given the Scripture and to be a prophet. He has made me a blessing wherever I go, and bid me to establish prayer and give zakah as long as I live, and to be kind to my mother. He has not made me arrogant or defiant. Peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I die, and the day I will be raised back to life!” That is Jesus, son of Mary. ˹And this is˺ a word of truth, about which they dispute. It is not for Allah to take a son! Glory be to Him. When He decrees a matter, He simply tells it, “Be!” And it is! ˹Jesus also declared,˺ “Surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him ˹alone˺. This is the Straight Path.” Yet their ˹various˺ groups have differed among themselves ˹about him(jesus)˺, so woe to the disbelievers when they face a tremendous Day! How clearly will they hear and see on the Day they will come to Us! But today the wrongdoers are clearly astray. And warn them ˹O Prophet˺ of the Day of Regret, when all matters will be settled, while they are ˹engrossed˺ in heedlessness and disbelief. Indeed, it is We Who will succeed the earth and whoever is on it. And to Us they will ˹all˺ be returned. They1 say, “The Most Compassionate has offspring.” You have certainly made an outrageous claim, by which the heavens are about to burst, the earth to split apart, and the mountains to crumble to pieces in protest of attributing children to the Most Compassionate. It does not befit ˹the majesty of˺ the Most Compassionate to have children. There is none in the heavens or the earth who will not return to the Most Compassionate in full submission. Indeed, He fully knows them and has counted them precisely. And each of them will return to Him on the Day of Judgment all alone." [Conversation between jesus christ and Allah(god) in quran surah(chapter) maidah ] -And ˹on Judgment Day˺ Allah will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary! Remember My favour upon you and your mother: how I supported you with the holy spirit1 so you spoke to people in ˹your˺ infancy and adulthood. How I taught you writing, wisdom, the Torah, and the Gospel. How you moulded a bird from clay-by My Will- and breathed into it and it became a ˹real˺ bird-by My Will. How you healed the blind and the lepers-by My Will. How you brought the dead to life-by My Will. How I prevented the Children of Israel from harming you when you came to them with clear proofs and the disbelievers among them said, “This is nothing but pure magic.” -And how I inspired the disciples, “Believe in Me and My messenger!” They declared, “We believe and bear witness that we fully submit ˹to Allah˺.”1 -˹Remember˺ when the disciples asked, “O Jesus, son of Mary! Would your Lord be willing to send down to us a table spread with food from heaven?” Jesus answered, “Fear Allah if you are ˹truly˺ believers.” -They said, “We ˹only˺ wish to eat from it to reassure our hearts, to verify you are indeed truthful to us, and to become its witnesses.” -Jesus, son of Mary, prayed, “O Allah, our Lord! Send us from heaven a table spread with food as a feast for us-the first and last of us-and as a sign from You. Provide for us! You are indeed the Best Provider.” -Allah answered, “I am sending it down to you. But whoever among you denies afterwards will be subjected to a torment I have never inflicted on anyone of My creation.” -And ˹on Judgment Day˺ Allah will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary! Did you ever ask the people to worship you and your mother as gods besides Allah?” He will answer, “Glory be to You! How could I ever say what I had no right to say? If I had said such a thing, you would have certainly known it. You know what is ˹hidden˺ within me, but I do not know what is within You. Indeed, You ˹alone˺ are the Knower of all unseen. -I never told them anything except what You ordered me to say: “Worship Allah-my Lord and your Lord!” And I was witness over them as long as I remained among them. But when You took me,1 You were the Witness over them-and You are a Witness over all things. -If You punish them, they belong to You after all.1 But if You forgive them, You are surely the Almighty, All-Wise.” -Allah will declare, “This is the Day when ˹only˺ the faithful will benefit from their faithfulness. Theirs are Gardens under which rivers flow, to stay there for ever and ever. Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him. That is the ultimate triumph.” -To Allah ˹alone˺ belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and everything within. And He is Most Capable of everything. Thank u. This was so sweet and encouraging! You are so genuine! I’m praying for you in this season - it does sound like you’re under a LOT and that’s really difficult to navigate in every way, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically. His grace abounds, His grace is sufficient, be gentle with yourself, and honest with Jesus. Coke boldly to the King. You are so right, consistency is key and pays off! I’ve been in the Bible almost everyday for 12 years and it’s made a huge difference in my life, my alone time with the Lord and His Word! I used to use the word busy tons but then I realized there’s a difference between being busy and having a full schedule or season. To me, a full schedule/season means there is intention in what I’m doing, I don’t have a lot of down time, but the things I’m doing matter and it’s occupying a lot of my time. Busyness is the opposite just me wasting time, doing whatever. Jesus has shown me so much beauty in rest and being still the older I’ve gotten I’ve realized I can’t just go go go and be okay. It truly depletes me. But That time with Him daily refuels and refreshes and refocuses! I couldn’t function to my best without taking a day of rest each week and moments of rest and quiet and stillness throughout the day! God bless you beautiful girl 🤍🌱

Wow! I'm honestly amazed about has God been talking directly to me over the past few months about getting my spiritual life together. It all started with various sermons at church early this year, to His changing my phone's ringtone (literally) three weeks ago to a pastor saying that time with God is the way to fix my problems, to now you mentioning the story of Mary and Martha. I totally relate to that story. It's being difficult right now to form the habit of quality time with Him after stopping devotions about my sophomore or junior year in high school. Prayers for this and some other things in life would be greatly appreciated.

Totally with you on getting distracted. I have a really long drive to work in the morning. This is usually when I pray. But it is so easy to get overwhelmed with my to-do list and lose track of prayer with all of the things I need to remember to do. If it's not this then it's thinking about my students and how to create success in my classroom. Just so easy to get so distracted and falling into wishing for everything on my to-do list to be done, knowing that that will never happen. Thank you for sharing. The Lord knows our day-to-day, but he will honor when we daily find time to rest in Him knowing that our hearts find it difficult.

It's helpful for me to think of these things daily so that I don't take them for granted... It's so encouraging how the Bible says "if we have food and clothing we will be content." Just food and clothing! We have so much more than that and still aren't content!! Thinking about that also convicts me and helps me to be content. And about the ADHD, maybe if you get tested for that and you end up having it, you can have medication for it! I don't have it, but know many people who do and the medication helped them immensely 💕

We seem to think we're the only generation to be busy. I can remember as a kid my mother saying how she had to go go go all day, every day raising kids, cooking, cleaning, chauffering us around, helping us with homework, getting to church. Busyness is nothing new. And it can be a blessing if we can change our mindset.People with too much time on their hands eat and lay around more, gaining weight. And those with no goals, or plans or too much time on their hands often get involved with things that can lead them down a wrong path and entrap them.

I hear you on the busy issue… I just got a new (to me) bistro table to do my bible reading to help encourage me. I’m on 1 Kings and the genealogy is really hard for me right now. God is helping me so much through it! Every day brings new opportunity for us to focus more than we did yesterday!

So encouraging to me. I have such a bad wandering and distracted mind during the whole day but especially when I try to be quiet, rest, or pray. I'd love more tips and tricks for overcoming this to connect deeper with the Lord

I completely get where you are at - I have a small business and I wake up with "gotta do this, gotta do that" in my my mind from the second I open my eyes. I have found that not touching my phone until after my time with the Lord helps SO MUCH!!! Honestly, please try it! There is something about looking at the phone first thing that causes the mind to lose focus. I can't believe the difference since not touching my phone. Also, I just prioritise this time now as my life started falling apart when I skimped on my time with God. This is building the house on the rock, giving the Lord our first fruits. He will help you to get the other stuff done. Since I committed to seeking Him harder and also started reading Christian books that are helping with my current struggles, I have truly experienced such growth and such joy in my time with Him in the morning.

What books have you been reading? I just finished God So Good and it was a lovely read!

@@dfranklin8176 I will check that out! I have been reading "God's grace in your suffering" and "The Christian's secret of a happy life". Both gave me such clarity and understanding when going through seasons of trials and difficulty - I feel like I have just had such breakthrough after 4 years of illness and constant struggle.

Hi Ashley, I have the same problem. I saw a video that suggests taking all that stuff going on in your head and taking it to the Lord. Tell him about all these things first, then ask him to help you focused. About discontentment, practice graditude. Make a list. Put it where you see it. Thank the Lord for everything on the list. Thank you for being so transparent! Shalom ✝️💜 Belated Happy Birthday 🎈

I'm starting my morning off with your video. I've been struggling in my beliefs and I'm quite far from God right now. It's a real struggle :(

I am going through one of the loneliest seasons I have ever been in. Although I know I am so wrong, I have been so bitter, so angry, and just overwhelmed with my circumstances. I have not been able to pray. I have been questions God. Even though I don’t want to go to church. I go. I don’t want to pray. But I try. And that’s the best I have been able to do. We have been battling infertility for 8 years and I am just constantly surround by women who are getting multiple children and all I see is what I don’t have. I know I am blessed but it’s so hard to see God in my life during this season, and this video is exactly what I needed today Thank you so much.

I’m so sorry to hear about your struggles with infertility, sister ❤️ I know I’m preaching to the choir when I say that sometimes God makes us wait… but sometimes He simply says no. Whatever God’s will for your life, know that His plan is perfect. I challenge you to consider this - if God appeared to you right now and said: “Daughter, I love you and my plan for your life does not include children because I need you to serve My kingdom in a different way” could you trust Him? If so, ask God to make clear His purpose for your life and rejoice in whatever He reveals to you. May God bless you this day and every day 🙏🏼

Happy birthday I hope you have a blessed day.I love the videos I love the videos so much. I love getting in God’s word and I been having some trouble getting in the word because of school. I’m going to get in the word more because I am reading it but not as much as I want to read it I’m going to work on that. God is so faithful and so good and he forgives us because he’s a good good father.
