Huh... I really liked this show. I did feel the last episode was a bit crammed, but overall I enjoyed both modes of the story. I'm typically all in for over the top mythical shenanigans so it didn't bump me at all. I also loved the cutting away from the action. Didn't feel schtick-y to me since we're missing perspectives so it made sense from a plot perspective. Oscar Isaac's performance was amazing. His physicality is incredible. Sometimes a small performance is good, but big can also be great. Yeah, big doesn't always equal good, but it also doesn't necessarily equal bad. I was entertained and relieved it wasn't too Marvel-y. I can watch Dr. Strange for that.

The circumcision talk made me wonder: Can Wolverine be circumcised? This is what goes through my mind.

This is probably the first HT I have 100% disagreed with you all. Loved the show and I’m loving all the multiverse doppelgänger shenanigans it’s one of most comic bookey thing marvel has done

Mileage on the actual show may vary but from a British perspective, the only people who think it was a “bad” accent are Americans who know very little about the sheer variety of British accents and are too lazy to do their research past a few (mostly American) tweets from when the trailer came out. The fact that you guys kept going on and on about it being a “northern” accent (it’s not) and thought your impressions were anything like what Oscar Isaac was doing (they weren’t) make the laziness of your writing for this episode, particularly glaring. For what it’s worth it is take on an East London accent and though it wasn’t perfect, I’ve literally met Londoners who sound like that.

Do I agree with all those takes? No. Are those commentaries funny? Definitely yes.

The funny thing about this HT Commentary is that all 3 panelist did not like the series, but the 2 Fandom critics who reviewed the show week-to-week, Eric & Kim, LOVED the show. I get that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but it's kinda jarring watching all the Fandom videos about Moon Knight b/c it goes: Ep. 1: Great; Ep. 2: Great; Ep. 3: Great; Ep. 4: Great; Ep. 5: Absolutely Amazing; Ep. 6: Great; HT: This show is bad.

I'd just assumed they didn't show the "Jake fights" because they wanted to keep it at a PG13-level rating, not for budget reasons. Also presumably Jake has a different costume? (I don't read the comics so idk.) I thought Oscar Isaac's performance was amazing, not over the top at all. I will be shocked if he doesn't get an Emmy nomination. This is probably tied with Loki for my fave Marvel series so far, and I knew next to nothing going into it (not sure if that makes a difference).

I like the “two wolves” metaphor but the fact that it appears in two famously mediocre blockbusters is kind of hilarious. It’s like the King Arthur of parables

You're overlooking the obvious. All the "alternate dimension versions of me." is a way to keep characters like iron man in the universe without ever bringing back robert downey. The actors are more replaceable if there's an 'alternate version' that looks like a different actor who doesn't charge 50 mil per movie.

Watch some BBC panel shows and you'll find that somehow England has like 100 different accents. There's like posh London, southern, northern, birmingham, cockney, etc. Then you've got people who've moved from Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and they're mixing their native accents with other accents. If I saw Steven on one of those shows I'd totally accept his accent. Also, Moon Knight was kind of a mess. I'd rank it at the bottom of the D+ Marvel tv shows. Was the snot bubble example Zendaya from Euphoria?

Like, why are you talking about the multiverse in this series? Sure, they use the bit of one actor playing multiple characters, but that has nothing to do with multiverse. Y'all complaining about marvel talking too much about multiverse, but captain America 1, all the Avengers movies, Thor 2, Dr. Strange 1, Guardians of the Galaxy 1, Captain Marvel, all talked a lot about infinity stones. A lot. In all those movies a infinity stone was the thing they were looking for, or the catalyst for something important, or the thing the villain wanted, or affected the plot significantly... 3 entire phases talking about it. In the entire infinity saga about ½ the movies talked about infinity stones. The idea of "let's explain the multiverse ONCE, then never talk about it again until avengers 5" makes no sense. They will take a brake from it in Thor 4, Guardians 3, etc. Plus, yes, it feels like phase 4 is too much multiverse right now, but WandaVision wasn't about it, falcon and the winter soldier wasn't about it, Hawkeye wasn't about it, Spider-Man 2 wasn't (technically) about it, moon knight wasn't about it, the eternals wasn't about it, black widow wasn't about it, shang-chi wasn't about it... Only Loki, Spider-Man 3, Dr. Strange 2 and what if (if you count it, since it's not in the universe of the MCU) were about the multiverse. So... Chill.

Would watching an episode each week change how you feel about it? I binged this in about 2 sittings because I only tried it because I was stuck on the couch and I really enjoyed it. I had no expectations though because I knew nothing about moon knight.
