Which Pixar movie hit you hardest in the feels? One: Speak up and join the conversation- we encourage respectful debate. Two: Respect your community- racism, misogyny, homophobia and hate speech aren’t tolerated. Three: “Be nice.” - Dalton from Roadhouse

There's also been a rumor that Edna actually designed the suit Buddy wore, and purposely added a cape knowing it would eventually end him. Now that would be hilariously cruel. I doubt it's actually true, but the people who made the case made a compelling argument.

*raises hand* Yeah me, I hate it. I have never liked this movie, because despite the funny writing and the slick animation, I intensely dislike the family dynamics. They are all so bitter and passive-aggressive, and I don't want my kids to get the impression that it's normal for a family to basically hate each other all day, every day. And sneak around and not speak honestly to each other, etc.

Emily, even though it’s not nice it’s very common to have families like this. And they don’t hate each other just because they have diffuculties and a couple of arguments. And the movie’s point is for the family to get closer, it’s the arc. My issue with the film is the moral about special people and how serious Bird seems to be about it based on rest of his work.

I get its a joke but its a underhanded jab and telling of their bias...Fans of a franchise have every right to reject something if the people making it change what it is so much it no longer resembles what it once was... Making something you are going to sell is literally is about pleasing an audience...To make an analogy to a person (albeit fictional) is pretty bad because we are who we want to be, we don't have to please others.

I rewatched the movie yesterday to prepare myself for Incredibles 2 and for the first time (in like a dozen viewings), I noticed something... In the beginning, if Bon Voyage is able to place a bomb on Incrediboy (or Buddy) and then escape while Mr. Incredible saves the kid... it's because of his cape. Without Incrediboy's cape, he wouldn't have been able to place that bomb. I found that pretty cool, knowing the no capes part that comes later in the movie.

You think the government was actually paying Syndrome to kill them? I mean they were clearly keeping tabs on Mr. Incredible so it wouldn't be out of the question for them to be doing the same to all the other supers. And if they were doing that I find it very hard to believe they didn't notice when Syndrome started killing them off. This movie just got a whole lot darker.

Edith Head is more the doppelganger Edna for me. Same career basically. She was the TOP Hollywood women's costume designer in the 1950s. Some actresses stipulated that they had to be dressed by her. And the dark hair, blunt bangs, and thick-rimmed circle glasses were her trademark look for herself. So she matched the look too.

Aaron Seidl Most of Pixar Movies are dark. Like Toy Story 3 when the main villain is a manipulative teddy bear who wants to burn all of old toys, or The first Toy Story when the toys wanted to kill Sid, Finding Nemo has the dentist who likes give the fish to his niece and his niece will playing the fish until its dead and many more, Even their last entry Coco is literally about dead people and even showing their deaths.
