I always pretend this franchise ended with Days of Future Past and Logan.

I like how Magento in this movie is motivated by his feelings for Mystique like he didn't try to kill her 2 movies back.

This movie’s saving graces: 1. James McAvoy’s acting 2. Michael Fassbender’s acting 3. Quicksilver/Evan Peters 4. See 1-3

This is the closest I'll ever get to watching the actual movie.

Sad thing about this, is that i actually really liked michael fassbender and james mcavoy as Magneto and Xavier.

"X-Men 4: X3: Take 2: The Last One" is still less convoluted than the series' timeline at this point.

Fox brings back the same writer who botched the Dark Phoenix saga in Last Stand back to direct as well as write Dark Phoenix. Completely setting yourself up for repeat failure when you could have redeemed yourself.

This movie delivered on some quality Magneto and Professor X stuff, as well as some good old fashion X-maning. While there were negatives, I think this movie has more cool stuff in it than people give it credit for.

Apparently Fassbender is being Eyed to be the New Dr.Doom for MCU. And tbh.. i am all for it. Through ashes of the fox X-men a new MCU will be Born with a Kickass Doom!

Regardless of how you feel about the X-Men movies themselves, you have to admit - the strength has always been the actors. They may have been given bad writing or little to do, but they still gave it their all.

The moviegoer and Xmen franchise relation can be seen as a toxic relationship. There was a lot of awful experiences, but once in a while Xmen did something great for us that made us forget, and continue playing along. But this was the moment that convinced us that things would never be like they were once, and finally gave us the courage to break up with Xmen. The MCU is way hotter anyways.

The only upside of this movie is that it didn't end with a mentally ill woman being killed by a man that held one-sided feelings for her. Instead, it ends with said woman overcoming and owning her trauma, becoming stronger for it Now, if only it was done in a better X-Men movie

They should’ve used the f-bomb when Magneto was telling Charles that nobody cared about his speeches anymore

While the movie is not good, people seem to forget that Disney made everything possible for it to fail: - it was supposed to be 2 movies, with the Shi'ar involved (Chastain was originally casted for a different role), and that was scrapped last minute, already during production, forcing a full rewrite in less than 3weeks, on a script that had taken 6months to develop; - actors were told in advance that Disney wouldn't be using them in the MCU, which sucks especially for the younger actors; - it's rumoured that Jennifer Lawrence requested to be killed, because she didn't want to be part of the movie anymore, after all the changes made; - there were constant demands for changes to be made, some of them by Kevin Faige...one of those changes was the ending, but other big changes have been confirmed; - reshoots took over 4months to start and were budgeted at 1/5th the original price, meaning that post-production budget was severely cut; Disney wanted their X-Men version to start fresh in their MCU, and didn't want them to be compared against a good movie...so everything was done on purpose for the movie to be crap, so that everyone will applaud later. Try to remember that, next time you're praising them, while forgetting that they're a big time studio that will do whatever they can to win, even if it's making sure the others fail.
