It is interesting to note the changes in operating style that the rebuild program has brought to the tram system. On the DC traction cars, braking is purely pneumatic, and done by using the manual lap brake handle only. On the rebuilt cars, dynamic braking is incorporated, and can be commanded for by using the combined throttle/brake controller. Braking can be done simply through that handle alone, as it automatically applies air to bring the train to a complete stop, or it can be done using the old fashion method of air-only via the brake handle. Max speed reached = 30 km/h @ 4:18. Enjoy the ride =)

Amazing video I'm so enjoyed looking at Hong Kong trams the go faster the have an upstairs the sound different and look different and comes with adverts I like buses or trams with adverts very intresting Hong Kong has amazing transport

strange looking tram. in U.S. they call it a bus. a tram is in the air suspended by cables.

This is not a bus - it runs on rails. I think you call them streetcars in the USA. To the rest of the world, they're trams.

Dan C no, i’m from the U.S. and we call it either Tram or Streetcar interchangeably. Usually newer systems are referred to as trams or light rail whereas older systems are called streetcars or trolleys, but that’s not a rule. It all depends on where in the country a person is from, but buses are always non rail vehicles that operate on regular roads like a car.
