What he didn’t get to mention is that most, pretty much all San Diego hoods are no longer active. You can go to anyone of these hoods and you will see no one outside. The fact is most black people have moved out of “southeast” San Diego to other places. Also the gang injunctions have basically dismantled all the gangs in Southeast. I grew up in Skyline and in 2020 it is nothing like it was in the 80s 90s and early 2000’s. You can drive down Skyline or Gribble street on a Friday night and see no one outside. Don’t get me wrong, there was a time when San Diego was a crazy place. But to say that gangbanging even exists in San Diego anymore is a joke. No disrespect just stating what I know.

These guys are holding on to the past and are basically stuck in place because of felonies. I bought a place in El Cajon during the crash, worth a half a mil now. These guys got run out by gentrification from the Asians especially Emerald Hill. Gangbanging is super dead.

I remember I had to stay away from there...I lived right off Euclid and Logan, then off Skyline ...most of my family and friends were Piru, Lincoln Park, O'farrell Park. You gotta learn quick in Cali. When you hit that trolley line and them buses, know what stops you bet not get off at. Then you got the Asian Bloods and Crops and Samoans...of course the esses. Nonetheless man I kiss my city, I love Daygo! Cali love forever. I remember when every set would be tryna slang downtown near Horton plaza and SDPD would be roughing cats up. We was like 16 turning up in TJ every other weekend. I miss SouthEast Daygo...I miss the 619.

They only hurt each other because they know each other. I been out here 20 years from Detroit and never had a issue. Black people from SD are weird. Im cool with 1 black person from here everybody else is from outta town like me. Ain't enough blacks here to act like that.

@@lubell619 Nah man, what I understand is there are not enough negroes in California for any of us to front on each other like I'm out to get you but you chopping it up with the Mexicans who are. Not a race issue but Huffman's is closed, Jones Bros BBQ is closed but I've never seen a taco shop close in southeast and blacks are in line for that. The Fish Emporium on Euclid is ran by Arabs. Fam Mart is gone so where did the independent black boutiques go? I'm just saying its gonna be hard times for those that are born and raised here but don't understand what they have let go.
