I just picked this up. Very pleased. I think this grinder could last me a decade easy. I can always upgrade my entry level breville espresso machine later 👍🏻

DF54 price makes it very compelling. Where I'm from, the DF64 Gen 2 is touching $1000 and the DF54 comes in at less than half that. Granted, you are already getting DLC burrs in the 64 Gen 2, but it seems like a rather chronic case of diminishing returns.

Would love to see a video comparing this to the Turin SK40 grinder.

Cheaper than a good hand grinder. What’s not to like. I’ll get this 54 , mm flat burr, for sure. As I understand it, it won’t be available until late March.😊

Can you use this without the bellow? Will the lid sit in place on top of the popcorn stopper?

Can you buy the cup holder separately, would like one for my DF64? I find something similar, the material is plastic and the one for the DF54 seems to be made of rubber, which is probably better for dampening vibrations and reducing noise.

How would you compare this to the Fellow Opus? I have that right now as my budget grinder and am happy with it. But I've always liked the DF64. Now that they have this 54 I may have to look at switching. For overall grinding, what is the difference/preference between flat burr or conical burr? I do mostly pour over and french press with the Opus. I use the Barista Express grinder for espresso, but may have to use this for espresso someday. Just curious.

You put 54mm ditting steel burrs in this grinder and it will still be cheaper than the Fellow Ode Gen 2 and likely produce better filter coffee while also being able to do espresso.
