I think the Nuggets are repeating, but Clippers winning would have the most legacy impacts. The NBA's most cursed team would finally break through, Kawhi Leonard may win his third Finals MVP for a third franchise, and Paul George, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook would all finally get a ring.

Finals MVP’s shouldn’t carry as much weight as they do in my opinion, like yeah they show how well a player can perform in the biggest of moments, but not having final’s MVP’s shouldn’t be such a contributor when talking about the best players ever.

Yep but I think that the transition is complete. The last three dynasties came from the west. Lakers 2000-2002 Spurs 2003,2005,2007, last ring 2014 Warriors 2015, 2017-18, 2022 Nuggets 2023 All those dynasties only differences is just one year apart. So, I believe that we are seeing our next dynasty the Nuggets.

I really hope the Nuggets win a back to back. This will mark a new NBA dynasty, a new NBA era. It's just amazing to see how Jokic and the team changed the NBA. No more starball, team play is top priority, and centers are gaining more importance once again. The smart game plays are also what shaped today's games thanks to the Joker himself, and gone are the days of only flashy moves for the top 10 highlights, which really is the essence of the game, team sport and smart plays.

When Donovan was on the Jazz and Shaq said "I dont think he has what it takes to win a championship", I scoffed as a Jazz fan. Donovan is an awesome player, but now I see how astute Shaq's comments were. Donovan's big flaw imo is that he doesn't know how to play team ball, he wants to be the hero.

The thunder left all of the Super Sonics stuff in Seattle in case they get another team. As far as the Thunder are concerned the franchise started in 2008 so this would be the first championship.

@@zhen86 The players and personnel didn’t change but they reset everything else. The Thunder had an agreement to leave all the Super Sonic stuff in Seattle. They don’t claim any championships or retired players. If Seattle ever gets a new team they will pick up the Super Sonics franchise where they left off. For all intents and purposes the Thunder are a brand new franchise that just took in the players and personnel from Seattle when they went under.
