I just wanted to say thank you for the review on this vacuum.I've been watching your channel and I appreciate your reviews in the info you put out I do have this vacuum and I find it to be quite effective especially where I have dogs. I also have hoover concepts and dial a matic and I find this one quite impressive for its quality.

Bag vacuums are the way to go especially to people who do not maintain their vacuum they always have a new filter when they change the bag and my favorite bag vacuums come from Miele

Just got one free of Craigslist the lady was fed up with it being clogged again. Dirty bag compartment, took me a few minutes with the help of another vacuum to unclog the hose. Found lots of of fluff and Christmas tree needs in the hose. The floor nozzle cleared it's self once the hose was unlogged. Your review had me curious to check one out but not enough to buy a new one. I am looking forward to refurbing the machine and seeing what I think of it. Also had Envirocare bags and the manual included too. Plan to tear down and clean up and get genuine filters and bags.

I love Hoover. I wouldn’t choose another. I do want this model. I had the canister version of this. It was really good.

I have a Hoover windtunnel from 1999. Model is U5423-900 and it's made in Mexico. As I stated in another comment, the chassis cracking is the "only" problem. Is it worth fixing this one or buying a used vacuum or even a new one for the chassis and trying to retain this motor??? Some of the comments make it seem like the older units are the way to go, and I don't want to throw a great motor in the trash if what is being built now is inferior. TY

I have this exact same vacuum and I love it.I'll tell you what I did though I went ahead and I removed that bag holder off the bag cover .and I just went ahead and push the bag onto the collar just like the old styles cuz it gives more room for the bag to expand inside the vacuum. And I still have some of the old attachments from the Hoover tempo. Along with a bare floor brush and I just use that to do the bare floors.Also on the front of the unit where the headlight is there's a place where you can hold onto it to clean your steps without having to use the attachments.

Hello ... just found your channel ... very informative. We currently have a central vac and an Oreck xl-21 from years back. Moving to a new “old” house and wanting to get your take on upright bagged vacuums. I’ve read about the Elevate Conquer and also see they make a Magnesium model. Any thoughts on these or others to consider? Mainly Carpet with some tile. Don’t think I can easily retrofit a central vac in an older home.

Biggest gripe with Hoover right now is the lack of parts due to supply chain issues. I can't get replacement parts for my Hoover Commercial Hushtone. Foam gasket failed and I had to hand make a new one.

In my opinion that is basically the hoover high performance bagged just with less features can u do a comparuson between the hoover windtunnel high performance and the windtunnel max bagged (PLEASE)

This is really a nice vacuum don't get me wrong. But I choose my older hoover wind tunnel from 1999 over this.

Would this be an equivalent replacement for my Windtunnel Supreme Mach 3.3? It's 22 years old and I think it's finally bit the dust but it was a great vacuum.

The only thing I have against this style of Hoover is the clutch/belt system - there have been a lot of reports of the system eating through belts when you engage and disengage the idler. As with any single-motor vacuum with mechanical brushroll shutoff, be it this or the typical Kenmore/Panasonic belt lifters, *turn off the vacuum before switching floor types.* That said, great review Alex. While not as good as the classic Windtunnels this machine still holds up as a solid bagged option.

I bought one for my mother to replace her bagless bissell (she still owns but it lives in the closet now) that didn't shut off the brushroll her house is mostly hardwood and the only carpet is her multiple area rugs but I can say they're generally rough on vacuums so there's a few broken end pieces here and there but it works nicely That being said this her second one because like you said the first one had issues outside of the box and the vacuum store didn't fix it so Hoover sent the store a new one my review is based on that one

what would be a good budget vacuum that performs well on both carpet and hardwood/tile. i have carpet, hardwood and tile in my house.

Is it true these Windtunnel uprights have metal impeller fans? If so that's a huge upgrade from the older Hoover Elites that used plastic ones that could break easier?

That is a nice vacuum, I do like its design and style of the bagged version (the T series as well), but however, I don't really trust the TTI Chinese quality compared its predecessor, the Windtunnel Supreme (or Widepath Tempo) (even the models with the TTI motor are half decent, even though the shape is the same and still made in Mexico, the motor just has a different tone when running).

Would you suggest this vacuum for the new style of soft/plush carpet (Mohawk Smartstrand)?

What's the hose diameter on this vacuum for additional accessories?

I hate bagless vacuums because the dust goes back into the air when you dump it and even if you dump it outside, it goes back into the air and triggers my asthma and allergies. My mom always had Hoover vacuums when I was a kid and loved them. I’m looking for a new vacuum because I have a Dyson v10 which is great for bare floors which I have a lot of in my apartment but it isn’t that great on the carpet and both bedrooms in my apartment are carpeted and we have pets. The Dyson has to be emptied fairly often while vacuuming the bedrooms and the battery dies and it’s an older model where you can’t swap out a dead battery.

There should be a bagged steerable.

This machine is kinda grown on me and I use to not like them and prefer the older ones better but in this day in age bagged hoovers and budget Bagged vacuums are going extinct and this is they're only option besides the tempo which I'm aware of are discontinued. It's a sad state of hoovers and only see bagless junk.

Vaccums that don't use bags or are cordless are not meant for cleaning a whole house. This vaccum seems pretty good.

Is the 30301 and 30600 the exact same or do they have differences?

I prefer quality bagged uprights that are made in a 1st world country and are quiet such as Lindhaus. I have Lindhaus DP5 and it is as quiet as a normal conversation if not quieter. I love that machine.

I received this vacuum on 6/13/23. Today is 7/27/23. Like you reported the wand is poorly made and not long enough. I don't feel it will last that long. I have been an avid Hoover customer for years. After 1-2 uses the vacuum made a weird sound like the roller was banging into the shield. I checked and continued using. Now 3 weeks later the belt is so loose it's making a louder noise. The one thing I had a problem with is Hoover said the belt was only covered for 30 days. What a disappointment, they send with a bad belt, it didn't last six weeks and I have to buy one. To me that's poor judgement on their part. It makes for an unhappy owner I personally searched for a bagged vacuum, old school, is good. I have three cats and two bunnies living inside and there's constant shedding, random bun poo, litter box filler, hay pieces and much more. The bag less ones clog to easily. I like that you can turn the roller off and just have a suction feature for non-carpeted floors. Overall I'm happy with the vacuum's performance so far. I'm just hoping it lasts for many years like my other Hoover's.

This vdieo mentions nothing about the suction controls of this machine. It should discuss suction controls. Yes, it has suction controls. No, it's not a different model. Not helpful.
