Some times it's just tough luck--that's the way it rolls. I have a difficult time with this game too. I haven't gotten past the second immortal. Thanks for the playthrough!

Exciting! Victorum and Remastered were my birthday and christmas presents last year. The production delay has pushed them to be delivered tomorrow.

Just got the game and I’m still learning from great playthroughs like these 😊 Just realized that at 29:50 you skipped the Realmstalkers turn and proceded to deploy one of your own units ;) I also noticed in the beginning that you said that units with special abilities always use that instead of an attack. I interpreted the rules as that you can choose either to attack OR use an special ability? 🤔 Either way, great video again from you guys! 💪🏻

I think you’re right, missed an immortal turn there. Not sure which part you are referencing with the other comment, but yes, units with special attacks choose whether to use them

Don’t forget: at 12:16 and 15:25, etc. you could also tick up the crowd favor because you did one damage to the immortal by standing on the stone hex. 👍🏼

Any effect that actually damages the immortal (stone hexes, killing minions) does NOT increase crowd favor. Only attacks or damage effects on the immortal that don’t hurt it raise favor. It’s an either/or thing

Only saw the first wave so far, but I swear whenever I am up against Azhdaha he hits on that yellow almost every time to ruin all my plans. Also not sure you can regen over your max HP with the Depthcharger. That said a well played wave 1. :)

I've been trying to figure out combat for a game I'm designing and I like the dice mechanic they use here, may use it for mine but slightly tweaked. Upgrading a weapon can let you roll better probability die (or more), some can have a "double hit" on a face that does 2 if you land on it, empty face can give you a resource instead, etc

Great playthrough - really useful for helping to learn the rules, thanks. at 38:50 you placed a hamstring tactic on the lion, but I thought you could only place tactics on adjacent units, and the lion is not adjacent, so you couldn't do that, right?

I'll answer my own question (in case it confuses future viewers as it did me) - you had a unit in the arena with the Tactical skill, which allows tactics to be placed on non-adjacent units, so that was a valid play

Hey Mike, thanks so much for this awesome gameplay! I wanted to ask, @ 17:20 you moved the Lion 3 spaces but I think he has 2 movement, did I miss a rule?

Unless I’m missing something, the Lion only moves 2 hexes at the timestamp you indicated. The lion ends up 3 hexes from the deployment hex because the immortal sucked them in the turn before, so maybe that caused the confusion?

Victorum is a ton of game, and already pretty expensive, so I think you’ll be fine with one for a good while

I need to try out the other Remastered modes first before I can answer that, but at this moment I think that depends HEAVILY on whether you want multiplayer play and whether you like campaigns in games :)
