I'm pretty sure Agent Brown does not give Neo a strike . . . 19:22 Strikes happen in phase 3 before cleanup phase 4 and Neo only moves back to the Matrix after his turn ends. So I think, unless I'm mistaken, Agent Brown during the Strike phase does not find Neo because he is in the real world during the Strike phase? Great playthrough as always, Colin! Love this game!

Very excited for this game. Love all Legendary Encounters games. When I heard about The Matrix as the next installment, I was over the moon. Great playthrough!

You had a significantly easier time than we did! And holy insanely high amount of attack you had at the end to jump up MULTIPLE places in the time track! Our highest attack we ever reached was 13. Three players. One of us kept getting amazing recruitment hands without being able to leave the Matrix. That caused at least four useless turns for just that player in the mid to late game. You were able to capitalize on so many more combos than we were able to. Especially Mouse. We had two of those in one person's deck, and it activated ZERO times throughout the game. Another player had the Coordinate with that icon, and that also did not align. There was maybe one other card with that symbol that came up. We were also not able to defeat many of our starting cards because we only found one We Think You're Bugged before mid-game (when we were taking multiple hits and not drawing useful hands). Healing cards took forever to show up, so we were all at high damage. We were never able to have more than a single empty space in the Matrix row at a time, except once where two were free because one was an Event. We gave up trying to do the jump, and multiple Act 3 cards kept appearing, so we just skipped it and moved the Act forward. (We would have lost at this point anyway if we hadn't introduced a house rule that the Speed is added to our max Health.) I was Neo, and I was finally able to use my ability a total of ONE time at the end because of a single Blind card (a Strike). And then the endgame section is simply impossible with the Double Strikes and the fact that the player stuck in the Matrix receives SIX STRIKES PER OTHER PLAYERS' TURNS. We barely won using an immediate house rule that the Agents do not Double Strike. I think later playthroughs will have another house rule that the Agents do NOT attack the Matrix player on the real world players' turns. That's simply ridiculous. If we didn't do that rule, the Matrix player would have had only ONE endgame turn. That's it. I'm guessing we just had a horribly unlucky game. Then again, our first two Legendary Encounters: Alien games were similarly difficult but less unlucky.

I own Marvel Legendary and a lot of expansions. I don't own any of the encounters sets (curse you Firefly art!). Watching this playthrough makes me really want to get this one. The Matrix is one of my favorite movies and the gameplay has some interesting changes compared to the Marvel Legendary.

At around 1:01:58 you had Neo play 2 "Your Men are already Dead" red Trinity cards, meaning you would've drawn 2 additional cards, not 1. Also I believe that acts and parts resolve first before you are forced to end your turn, so both act 2 rewards would've been put on top of the deck before you draw your hand of cards, though I might be mistaken.

Just did my first play through of this, but I didn’t understand that Neo could actually get to the real world in the beginning of the game to recruit, so I kept him in the matrix until the start of act 2. Maybe that’s why I lost a bit earlier than I usually do in the other LE games…

I hope they'll release a Matrix Resurrections expansion.

Nice playthrough. Your pace and the way you approach the game is one of the best out there. I have LE Aliens + expansion. Not sure if I need this one in my collection. It looks very easy and with not much replayability. What are you thoughts on these aspects? Cheers

I have played through basically everything for Legendary Alien and thought I was done with the legendary stuff and didn't need anything else, but this looks awesome!

Chase just moove the agent one time, not two. The card moove two spot total if the card was push by another card before chase abiliy trigger

I haven't seen/played all the Legendary games, but this one seems to have more set aside cards and acts than the ones I'm familiar with. Reminds me of the acts and agendas from Arkham LCG.

Nice one, Colin. Love The Matrix! Still remember going to see it in the theater and being blown away. Game mechanics seems really fun. I feel the art for this one is kind of Firefly tier though. Another game I enjoy in spite of the art. Really wish they would spend a but more on the art for these to get higher quality stuff. A few cards look good, but a lot of them just pull me out of the theme.

Wow didn’t even know about this. I have Alien, Predator and The X Files. Great game, love the art in these games. Only disappointing thing for me was still shots used in The X Files version not art.

Since you bought the 8 cost card you shouldn't have then put the Neo hero cards in the deck. Complete that card on a future turn or put the 8 cost card back then shuffle hero cards into deck not both (isn't that cheating the game technically? )

Great game, I want it. However, for such a dark movie, the cartoony artwork is totally out of place. Very odd.

Hmmm, I think after X-Files I wouldn't buy any LE game with the buying card row revealed. I really the reveal mechanic in LE X-Files....

world would be a better place if Matrix 4 was never made
