Thank you Sniti for holding up high the flag of classical indian singing and keeping the singing relevant as well as enjoyable! Thank you also for not falling victim to the commercial demands of the music industry, I am not dissing them but your voice transcends what other singers are doing. From the morning this song was in my mind, I am an avid fan of Snitiji, me being a student of Pandita Girija Deviji, was appreciative of this song for years, as it is very different from Benaras Hori Bandishes , Her voice, technicality , and finesse speaks about a different level altogether, the message of unbridled joy of a shared Holi between all , invoking nature is much too touching, May she stay blessed. 5:20

muktir dhaak , Sniti is being ignored in Bollywood because in Bollywood it is all family affair ... A sort of dinestic rule. Papa-hero's son will invariably be hero ,daughter will be heroine there. For singers too same rules apply. You and me can only pray for Smiti's success in life. Outsiders are normally given a guest appearance or two and then thrown out.

There are maybe two factors: She is very young still, and that there are many new good singers in Bollywood already. Looks like she has gravitated to other language singing as well, so she is diversifying, It is a tough industry, Musicians should not rely on Bollywood only, create your own albums and market those, do concerts around the world.

Truly a divine voice. I have always been in love with your voice. Why aren't you taken for Bollywood playback? Perhaps the answer is that there isn't anything of your vocal stature there. You have what is called 'khanak' in your voice , a soulfulness along with god gifted talent.
