8:18 "The Bible says that "rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft". I believe that rebellion and witchcraft come together. And I see people that have been deeply rejected, that they have some sort of open portal in their life with the spirit of rejection, they become rebellious. My brother recently got saved and gave his life to Jesus.. As he was praying some night ago he told God to reveal any unclean spirits and they popped up so he started casting them all out, and as he was casting them out things were moving.. Now the home feels more lighter and free.. No other power is greater than Gods power.. 🙏

I am so moved by this video. I’ve been dealing with inner torment for most of my life now. I was raised Christian and Catholic, but have had dreams and visions since childhood. My dad was extremely emotionally and psychologically abusive. After further trauma in college and in the Navy, I found “spirituality” and explored it while maintaining identity as a Christian until eventually, I had become an actual witch and fell from Christ. Recently, I’ve been experiencing a lot more inner turmoil. I heard God calling to me and the same Bible versus kept running through my head-the one about evil can present itself as an angel of light, and the one about not being able to serve two masters. Meanwhile, night terrors and paranoia became increasingly worse. I know the spiritual realm is very real on both sides and that there was a battle happening for my own soul and it’s time to make a very conscious choice. I was being taught by a witches apprentice. When I was younger I was mistreated and I felt I had no power and I started to know things before they happened. I felt all those people who died in Guyana and other things like a plane crash or stopping a friend from getting ran over by a truck and having the dream the night before but things changed when I saw a demons face come at me from a book I opened. Then I tried to get out but the demon was tormenting me. GOD in His great wonder sent one friend who told me to read the bible and by the time I got to the end sent another friend who led me to Christ. I would have died if things didn't happen the way they did.

When My idiot Son ended up in a Pschyc Ward 2' 1/2 years ago "JESUS CHRIST " was the reason they let him go a month after he went in there. I didnt believe in God at that time my ex-gf cried to me on the phone that we lost our son my son ended up being diognosed SCHYZOPHRENIC he said he started hearing voices every where . I decided to one day at my apartment alone i prayed with all my might directly to JESUS CHRIST to help me to cure my son release him home and as GOD is my witness 2 days later my son was home safe and back to normal. I dont care what anybody says but my prayers to Jesus christ SAVED MY SON.

These people in witchcraft are real. I walked in a take out restaurant to pick up my food and when I was entering the restaurant, a tall man was exiting and we both stopped and looked at each other for a brief moment, he was looking at me with hate and anger and I KNOW he was about to curse me out as if I got in his way but my look of peace and the presence of the divine would not let him open his mouth. I felt the power and battle between our spirit. He moved to the side and I said, Thank You. He walked out angry. Thank You Jesus for protecting me that day. They walk amongst us.

This is scary, I’m a Christian, and I’ve experienced everything she has, with the exception of witch craft, I’ve never done that, but every time I would pray, God had more power than the demons, they can’t touch you when you’re full of the Holy Spirit.. this has happened to me

I was also into witchcraft and the occult. When i was my life was absolutely hectic and bad things constantly happened. There were multiple paranormal things happening in my home, my wife and sister in law almost died in my home, and i was self harming and had a self delete attrmpt using a rope that didnt end me but did leave me with permanent neck problems. Since being born again all of the hectic and demonic stuff is gone. Life isnt perfect or even easy now but it certainly isnt demonic like it was before i was saved.This occult and witchcraft stuff seems edgy and cool to a lot of people but it isnt. Its filled with pain and sadness. Do not play with this evil stuff. Follow Christ.

When I lived in Nashville, a friend was deeply into astrology, could see the stars around you without even knowing your birthday. She found Jesus, being home while husband on the road, she watched TV preachers and got saved, got in the word for herself, disposed anything related to astrology and witchcraft. I got to walk with her for several years as she grew in the Lord.

Second, I am also very sorry to hear about her struggles and the death of her father and ask that we all uplift her with prayer and support as she furthers her relationship with Christ. Finally, I want to thank her for showing the courage to share her testimony in front of a large audience. Putting her deeply personal testimony out there is an immensely difficult task that speaks to great faith. However, there are concerning elements regarding her theology such as her statement on preexistence. (27:21 - 28:31) This conception of human origin is prominent in Mormon theology (although it was also espoused by the early Church father Origen) and is widely condemned in orthodox Christianity. Additionally, her description of the purpose of our Lord's death is focused on the spiritual authority we receive rather than salvation from death and damnation. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16 It is true that as Christians we may receive spiritual gifts, but these are a secondary blessing, a means to an end. The Apostle Paul puts it this way: *"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. I also must mention that Ms. Lopez is selling prophetic lessons for £570 ($716) for four lessons a month on her website. The implication of this is that she feels confident enough in her theology to be a teacher. I will not place *any* doubt on her sincerity, but this is very concerning for the sake of those she teaches as well as herself. "Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness." - James 3:1 In the end, I feel obligated by wisdom and prudence to write out this comment. I am not asking anyone to reach any specific conclusions, but to reflect on this information in good conscience. Additionally, I apologize to Dr. McDowell and Ms. Lopez if my comment is not representative of the love of Christ. I only wrote this out of concern and I sincerely apologize for any mistakes in my thoughts. I also want to thank Dr. McDowell for providing these interviews which give an opportunity for people to grow and develop their faith :)

I experienced sleep paralysis almost every night just before I got saved. It was awful. I could never get restful sleep. It lasted several months. Only calling out in Jesus' name broke this bondage. I was born again in 1987.

I remember when I was a kid with my mom and nana at a metaphysical church where the pastor had guided us into contemplative meditation asking us to open our minds and then she said : “Give me you minds!” . That when my mom snapped out if that contemplative thought and told me to call my dad and have us picked up . We never went back to that place and ultimately that place closed down several years later .

I didn't know lucid dreaming was new age. It explains a lot of why my dreams were so scary and vivid a lot of the time. I'm so glad that I do not do it anymore.

Her connection between Catholicism and withcraft is a point that we should not miss.

I experienced things, as a solitaire witch, that I did not understand - and was severely tormented. I'm free now, from that oppression, but Julie Lopez's testimony answered many questions that I have had. Her testimony has edified me. I pray that more "ex-witches" will speak out, and continue to "expose the darkness." I pray that the church will grasp the real and important need to talk about this subject.

Please pray for my oldest daughter who is married and has 2 children. She has been practicing witchcraft thew yoga and Crystals and introduced things to my granddaughter. I have been praying for deliverance and for my son in law and to give there lives too God.. I didn't have opportunity to raise my daughter, so she wasn't raised in the church but her husband was raised in the church and has rejected it.

The experience that she had with her dreams is called lucid dreaming, when you are able to realize that you are in a dream and you can control their anything. It happens to many people.

What she talks about feeling that love that’s exactly what I feel when I go to church ask even through church people are not perfect there’s this light to their homes and them. It beautiful. People that practice dark witchcraft have this opaque energy to them.

I applaud Sean for doing these type of interviews. Some segments of the Protestant church are too modernist, too intellectual, too post Enlightenment rationalist to pay any attention to the spiritual warfare. On the other hand there is also quackery and excesses in other circles .

I once meet a guy who was close to that sort of stuff. He told me that his friends were sitting around doing levitation and one of them dropped dead. It's dangerous stuff.

Before I started watching this segment and knowing what it was going to be about, I was led to pray. So I paused the video, got on my knees and prayed. Earlier in the week, I had an appt with a kinesiologist for body balancing and healing. At the end of my appt, I noticed there were some new age elements about the room. I immediately got a discerning feeling and it wasn’t entirely good. But I kind of ignored it. Part of my prayer before the video was that if it were not something that I should’ve done, “Please, Father, if that’s not something I should’ve done, let the Holy Spirit guide me.” Fast forward to almost the end where Julie Lopez stated we should not rely on anything except what is Holy, was a discerning validation. The enemy is deceitful. It is in the form of unsuspecting and seemingly innocent actions that can always lead to being snared. When in doubt, I know to always pray and Holy Spirit will always lead you on the narrow path.

When she was explaining what witchcraft was...literally word of faith! ...declaring, decreeing, affirmations, watching your words....positive affirming.....cursing or blessing.

She’s telling the truth, I also used to be an occultist and was able to do all the things she said she can, it also didn’t go well for me at the end. I started with white magic as well, then also got into black magick. Things got so out of control I had to beg god to save me, the demons started terrorizing me and nearly drove me to suicide to try and escape them. But I became Christian and Jesus saved me and the brutal attacks on me stopped

This was good but two things she said I want to point out- She said we existed spiritually before we became humans, that’s a belief held in new age by many who had claimed to be Christian’s but were practicing Luciferians Also the claim that satan has stolen astral projection and that as Christians we should seek that same practice (just put a Christian term on it to redeem it) is also a new age practice, God never tells us to seek those things out, there is no biblical evidence for those claims, no where did the Bible say God pulled people out of their bodies to astral travel (dreams yes). There’s a false teacher Daniel Duval that teaches these things (under the guise of being a Christian pastor) i love her heart to honor Jesus, praying God continues to unveil her eyes (I came out of new age and fell into this for a time as well)

I agree on the witchcraft not just being practiced by people we traditionally think in the strictly occult realm. Like Julie says, manipulation and controlling people is a type of witchcraft in the flesh if you will. I've also read about that before.

I used to experience sleep paralysis when I was still 'worldly', but it didn't stop me from placing curses on people I felt had wronged me, or performing rituals for personal gain. Praise God, I got out of that darkness and now I walk in the light. Thank you for this interesting testimony.

What a wonderful testimony of God’s grace and mercy on this young woman and her mom. I hurt for what happened to her father, and the generational torment and pain, but I rejoice in our Savior for drawing a line through that family and ending the reign of Satan therein. I have loved ones who grew up in cultic religions and they share similar experiences, particularly regarding dreams and astral projections (they call it spirit travel). But when Julie broke it down that witchcraft is all about power and manipulation it made so much sense. I've watched Julie Lopez's and studied some of her teachings. I understand what she is teaching and saying. I am shocked to read some of these comments here. I don't know anything about Dr. Sean McDowell, but some of the followers here sure appear to be cessationists. It seems a lot of readers here are not familiar with the spirit realm. I'm glad he interviewed her knowing it would really rub some of his followers the wrong way.

At first I was uncomfortable with you asking for Julie's experiences, but it is actually very helpful. I also grew up in a 'mystic' family, but with no tutorials. When I became a Christian I was very conflicted about what was of Holy Spirit and what wasn't - seeing coloured light, 'eavesdropping' voices. My fear actually bound me in to being attacked. It was very counter intuitive to submit myself to God and not fight back out of terror/guilt, but to trust Yahusha to cloak me with Salvation...I pray for discernment and self control

And I don't blame her, I went from being into, druidism, white magic, chaos magic.. and God helped me instantly when I asked, but I had to let go of a lot of ideas in my mind that were just my attempts to make sense of the demonic stuff I was going through.

Thanks for this interview, hope people can really learn from it and take spiritual matters seriously. I totally do relate with part of her story. She understands the spiritual realm. I had similar experience when i was younger. I was very sensitive to spiritual presence expecially demons. Back then, i can mind control ,read minds, found lost items, see visions etc. Being a Christian i thought that this power was a gift from God, but the problem is, i always felt like something was wrong about the whole experience, that's because i often have this feeling of guilt and was always scared that i will be killed by a demon at anytime. The funny part was nobody around me tends to notice what i was going through. I felt like i was drawing and shouting for help, but everyone around seemed to not notice, this made me feel lonely, timid and angry. Reading these two books, "He came to set the captives free" and "prepare for war" by Rebecca brown, opened my eyes and helped me broke away from my bondage. Today when ignorant people tells me that, the supernatural realm doesn't exist , i cant help but to feel pity for them

I too grew up in a household where my mom was a witch And taught me witchcraft at a very early age. I too was astro protecting when I was 7 years old... My life got really out of control for along time.things started changing when I was in my 40s and started having the 3:30 awakenings and the reacuring lion dreams and started getting letters from a secret society trying to get me to join them they said they had profiled me and knew I had special abilities, they offeres me Alot of money to join them. I was also seeing Alot of what I called the shadow people pacing outside my home and something showed up one night that I hope I never see again, at 1st I thought it was a shadow person until it flung itself open and it was like dark water unjulating inside of itself and it told me it was sent for me. Then life got to be kind of terrifying for a long while. It was in June of 2019 when I started hearing this voice. This voice spoke Truth to me and I listened to it. He told me about the demons. I wasn't raised with Religion so I didn't know about the demons. He told me I needed to Pray morning and night because once that energy knows you it's really easy for it to come back on you. He took me to the Hebrew language and showed me how to translate it to English. He showed me who he is and his commandments that he holds most dear Love him 1st and love your neighbor, he says if you follow those two that you won't break the rest and he showed me his Sabbath Friday night when the sun goes down until Saturday night when the sun goes down. I've been walking with him ever since. He says he's coming!!! 💞
