I learned from Wylie coyote that gravity stop working if you don't look down, that's good to know if you have a malfunction 👍

1:33 ??? WTF??? This is THE WORST reaction You can make having horseshoe mal.. First of all - disconnect RSL if You have one, then pull cutaway handle, then pull and release risers, and THEN pull reserve. Pulling reserve like on the movie is asking for a double malfunction.. This is a brilliant example how to DO NOT deal with horseshoe mal.

There is a difference between teaching a total beginner and a more experienced jumper. You want to keep things as simple as possible with someone new to the sport, to prevent them from mixing things up. Horseshoe malfunctions are very rare. Maybe these videos are used in a starter course, I don't know.

@@DrDeepstack NO - and that's the point. This video CAN NOT BE used in a starter course. It can not be used in ANY COURSE ( or maybe yes - as an great example how to DO NOT react no matter what ). I agree - horseshoe is rare and one of the most dangerouse mal You can get. ALSO - this is THE ONLY ONE mal when "standard" reaction right-left handle - may KILL YOU. No AFF instructor - and i know MANY of them - DO NOT teach to deal with it in the way You can see on a movie above. This is against USPA rules ( also if somebody ask me - against common sense ). Just one big, fat NO.
