Congratulations on your new job! Hey girl I live in houston and worked in the medical center for almost 5 years, I am back in school and I’m applying to the nursing program that I think you go to ..can you do a video on what your application was and rate your program ... also what your schedule looks like ...I’m a single mother and it would really help me in advance to know what the schedule look like

Did you get a PCT certificate?
@kaymarie42204 жыл бұрын
Okay I’m going to be doing pct training soon and I want to work in mother baby or L&D but what I wanna know is do u clean like throw up or poop or anything like that? I’m not good with bodily fluids and so looked at another pct video and the lady said she had to do all of that
@andrearoserospn36384 жыл бұрын
A pct is basically a CNA usually that is what the job is depending on where you work
@cameronhicks11154 жыл бұрын
Yes. If you cant handle bodily fluids I would stay far away from PCT or CNA.. They are essentially the same thing. I am currently in my CNA program. You literally do all of the dirty work. You can definitely be in the healthcare field, but I do think no matter where you go, you will need some kind fo tolerance to bodily fluids as that is a common part of healthcare.

You should look into a radiology tech or physical therapy assistant program if you don’t really want to be exposed to bodily programs but you still want to work in healthcare

Hey girl i have a question I know that you are attending nursing school currently so I was wondering if the hospital required you to have an associates or experience in the medical field ?
@nursetamerah3 жыл бұрын
I have my bachelor in Health. I was a dental Assistant for awhile but since I completed the first semester of nursing school I was qualified to be a CNA/PCT without getting the certification
@quelquun20183 жыл бұрын
@@nursetamerah wait so does that mean you nusy apply for the job without having to take any of the cna/pct courses. Im currently finishing up my 3rd semester of nursing school, so i will have winter break.

How many patients (including the baby) do you usually get a shift?
@nursetamerah4 жыл бұрын
it really depends on how many babies want to be born. But I would say I typically will have 10 babies

Does your title being a nursing assistant differ from a regular Mother/baby nurse ?
@nursetamerah4 жыл бұрын
Nurse Jess I’m not really understanding your question. I perform duties as a nursing assistant the unit i work on is the Mother/Baby also known as postpartum. I assist the nurse on the floor, but i have my own duties such as vitals, bed making, restocking etc.
