In this week's Friday episode, Patrick and Stuart host a five-course dinner for guests that also includes visiting patrons of the Château de Colombe. Patrick shows how he makes the starter course of creamed white asparagus soup from scratch, and his preparation of the roasted vegetables for the main course.

As you stated, a chateau the size of Colombe should not be shy of people and would best thrive on animated conversation of like minds... with a serving of volunteerism if possible. Yes, people are drawn to the work you are doing for the structure, the exterior grounds and the interior decor, but all in all, it is the two of you who draw people in. Good morning Patrick & Stuart, as always, you put on a fine show. The table looked so pleasant, and the food looked great. At the dinner table it is all about the "atmosphere" for those whom are present. It was nice to share the menu with you, the food plated, looked absolutely smart and delicious. Not too much, just sufficient to bring back good memories later on. It is lovely to be able to share your dwelling with your friends and supporters, totally different to see in person than on camera. I can’t believe how transformed the dining room is with the paint and panels! I like the wall color with the tile colors! Your China is lovely and I love the lemons on the square tablecloth! The candles are pretty lit up in the room at night!

What a mouth-watering menu 😋 A big fan of seasonal asparagus, so your soup recipe was a highlight 👍 Supert thought and effort into the starter trio, the main with local produce and a superb dessert 😋 Although cooking, setting, serving and hosting you both made this look so relaxing and effortlessly elegant! Chapeau!!
