In this week's Wednesday episode, Patrick and Stuart are back in the chateau entrance hall to install a mural of a beautiful early 18th century pastoral landscape painting. The breathtaking bucolic scene of the countryside was custom made to complete the large curved wall at the top of the chateau grand staircase. They also show visits to some local brocantes with friends Tony, Jane, Richard, and Eve and share their new purchases.

We knew you had good taste, but now we discover your talents and your boldness. I admit that I had thought of all sorts of decor possibilities for this stair climb, but this goes beyond anything I had dared to imagine...! It was Vincent, the director in France of the English company "Little Green", who proposed a decoration in your castle that would make visitors say wow: I think that his wish and his objectives are largely achieved here, however without ostentatious excess. It is obvious you are enjoying the company of your guests, just something special about having visitors at your home. The wall paper is just perfect, fits like a drum. Stewart and Patrick… I sat here and watched you put up that lovely wallpaper, then it transitioned both of you painting. My thought thought was, “ I am confused. I checked again the surroundings of the hall there and I realize wait a minute they are pretending to paint!” You tricked us and didn’t catch it right away. Patrick, your face as you looked out to your lap talking about the rain made me laugh. Why? We have had continuous rain here also, but thankfully, the last two days have been lovely with temperatures in the low 80s.

Hi Stuart and Patrick. I can’t even find the words to tell you how beautiful and how Perfect the mural is on the landing! I mean, it’s just Perfect😄. I didn’t even know you could get murals like this till you fitted out the Lady of the Chateau in the lav! Just love them. I want to watch again to see if you can see it from the stairway. You are really doing some amazing things at the chateau. Fountains and murals, fantastic! I was born and raised in Sturbridge, Mass. Quite a few houses in town had murals painted by Rufus Porter, and I really loved them. That's what your mural reminded me of. I can't wait until I see what you are doing later on today!

What a perfect way to decorate the curved wall - it looks like it has always been there. Good choice. Raining in UK also, all day today. Good for the garden but I think my plants might drown.
