Hot Springs SD: 18+ Outdoor Mineral Spring Spa! & Cabela's Campground

7 ай бұрынIn this episode of Wandering Wagners we got back on the road to Sidney NE then North to Hot Springs, SD Where we did a Mineral Spring Soak!
In Sidney NE we stayed at @CabelasHunting @bassproshopscabelasboating5884 at their full-service campground. This campground was pretty impressive with full on site bathrooms, showers, laundry, play ground, dump station etc. We took the dogs inside the store to pay for the campsite and do some shopping where we bought the dogs new @carhartt collars and Mike got a new flannel.
The next day we went North into @Hotsprings-sd South Dakota where we stayed at a fairly new campground, Fall River Ranch RV Resort. They are open year round with pull thru full hook ups which was amazing! We got our site and were able to communicate via text with the campground, which was pretty great! We walked around town and saw the Hot Springs waterfall at Centennial Park, then drove over to Upper Chatauqua Park and really enjoyed the snow covered scenery!
Next in Hot Springs, we visited @moccasinsprings9863 and did a 3 hour hot mineral spring dip in their 6 pools of mineral water! This is an adult only (18+) spa, where they offer massages, yoga, and the mineral springs soaks. They have beautiful changing rooms with showers that includes the toiletries to shower afterwards. We really loved doing this soak and would recommend it to anyone in the area looking to relax at a tranquil spa. We paid $27 each for a 3 hour soak and we stayed the entire time! Very relaxing and got our monies worth haha
Next week we head a little further North to @CusterStatePark Custer State Park, SD.

Love it! Welcome to my hometown. It’s a pretty wild town, nobody’s going to close off steps, due to icy conditions. In the summertime, you’ll see four wheelers, side-by-sides, and everything all over the roads. It’s kind of a free-for-all. And it’s what I love about that little town. The walkway is a section of historic steps. It started getting pretty beat up this summer, and I think the city didn’t have time to restore the flagstone. All that construction downtown has been taking precedent. Thanks for doing such a great job of making our little town look beautiful. I really appreciated all the beautiful shots.

Thank you for the warm welcome! No pun intended❄️ haha We love that you'll see all the 4 wheelers on the roads! It seems like it has the small town feel, which we really like. That road construction was wild though😂 we didn't expect to see full on construction in Winter. We were going to walk the town but most of the sidewalks on the main drag were either closed or non existent haha so we went to the other park and really enjoyed it! Thanks for the info on the steps! Turns out Mike was right😂 The mineral springs were very relaxing!

this reminds me of our anniversary trip to Costa Rica. Tabacon Hot Springs is on a river that is heated by a active volcano. You just get in wherever you want. I love the idea of just picking your destination as you go. It's more of an adventure.

We will be at Elkhorn ridge in the next few videos! We just didn't want to drive to the hot springs and stay for a few hours and go back with the dogs in the RV. Fall River ranch RV was perfect and we decided to stay days in hot springs vs hours!😁 Safe travels to South Dakota this memorial day!

It looks like you went straight North from Sydney to Alliance (the Home of Carhenge) and skirted past my area to the West. It's a great drive the way you went and Hot Springs is a nice place!

It's a pretty new campground (2021) I'm sure it's still in the getting setup process. They are still working on those cabins. Unless you were referring to Cabela's then yeah it is what it is haha

Coming from Canada I just cannot get my head around enjoying snow camping, that's why we are in Indio CA for the winter. If I never have snow underfoot ever again I'll not miss it for a second. One good thing for you two.... unlike your normal weather, it's not raining ha ha.

great vid and agree you look great in that bikini.. glad you had fun at hot springs and I think that was funny dogs didnt pay attention to the deer in store just the food and other smells I always wondered what its like to have the nose of a dog ....its jan 16 off work due to icy roads highs only in mid 20s had a sleet freezing rain event here in Mississippi and wind chills in 8 to 10 f so very cold for MS glad to see MIke back to 100 and well as Piper. i agree with other comment about Naked doggy that was pretty funny
