I love discussing this hero lol. So many ways to influence a fight so much more than more other supports. He truly feels like when you're making the right choices, you're playing god.

Fun fact: -He has a specific voiceline for almost every hero (hopefully they would update it) about prophecies. - he also has prophecies for YOU in real life, which can be heard globally in game. - voiced by GMan in Half Life -imo, perfect hero with The Stanley Parable voice pack. Have a 4th wall orgasm. Bonus trivia -there is a response on a 200kill streak in The Stanley Parable. Classic.

Yes finally, you're playing one of my favourite hero. He's so versatile as a hero and that's what I really like about Oracle. Imagine a single skill that can either disarm or complete negate 100% magical damage and can be used on your allies or enemies depending on the situation.

You're learning so fast Grubby and it' good to see that you did get proper coaching other than relying on random advice online. BUT I do have on piece of advice for your last hitting. The ranged creeps do way more damage than the melee ones. It's only really the ranged creep that will steal your last hits. So time your attack for after the ranged creep's attack hits. This will be the best opportunity for a last hit when the creep is on low health.

Oracle has different utility than Dazzle. Oracle has a huge power spike where he can nuke people to death at level 3-8. Also with Fate's Edict you can block Sniper and Lion ults. And if Sven ults without a BKB you can just Edict him and he'll just stand there and can't do anything.

Grubby trying to block the accumulated magic damage with false promise + fate's edict actually makes sense in a way. I have never thought it that way

At last my favourite hero! Oracle is such a blast! You feel like you are actually weaving the destiny of both allies and enemies from the backline; like an actual god. The enemy simply cannot ignore you, it's like having the game on your hands.

On of my favorite Heros in Dota .U can actually carry with this hero by babysit ur stupid cores and never let them die.Yet it can be pretty furstrating to be flamed for every death of ur team that u cant impede, since they think u are a wizard witout any CD( raltes to every save support actually). On the other hand getting probs by the enemy team, caus u mastered this hero, is an awesome feeling.

This hero is the best designed healer in gaming for me, no more are you a brain dead press two button heal bot, but instead a master baiter, mathmatician, magic damage carry, disruptor, and has 2 saves on top of his heal combo. this combined with how he interacts with every single character in the game, different magic resist passives, berserk mechanics, makes him the gold standard of how well you can design and flesh out a healer in a game, but is a fantasy that is highly neglected in any other game.

You can absolutely play oracle as a burst mage if you're good enough. At one point, when he came out, E and Q did way more damage, you could build dagon and insta nuke people. It was so sleeper OP but everyone was focused on building him like a healer back then. Stacking heal reduction is a way to do longer term dps too. Then you get orchid and it'll do bonus damage at the end of the silence duration for a big nuke.

Once you know his 'combos' for both allies AND enemies, he gets a lot easier. In fact, he's a support notorious for being a 'kill stealer' using his E, given how low the mana cost and the cooldown becomes at max level.

Absolutely hard. I believe I spent an entire day reading guides(even from dota 1) and the wiki theorycrafting before jumping into game with him. Had a good winstreak with him and certainly abused his old ult that had perma invi back then.

Tips for oracle u might have missed: You can e (maxed e) range creeps and then right click them for easy denys. I think playing him on quickcast & to cancel him without needing to press s is way more efficient. If someone is really low u can spam e on him, cuz you can't kill him with e and he gets the heal. Q+e= nuke on enemy W+e=heal Every e heals about 400 hp while your ulti. Every e with w heals about 800 hp while your ulti. Don't use e at the end of uti, because the heal can't kick in and you damage them more with it😂

This is the simplified version of Oracle. His W used to amplify physical and pure damage while nullifying magic and disarming. Making it even hard to know who to W and when.

High-level oracle play, both team play and individual play, are always so freakin cool to watch. For example, if you channel Q onto an ally, then they blink in, the projectile will chase them and root every enemy around them after they go in, potentially giving a follow-up disable after a Centaur stun or something.

Combos: E+Q: you can channel Q for max root, with enough distance, you have enough time to cast E first for the damage nuke while instantly root and dispel the heal from E. With cd talent, you can do EQE. Q+blinks: you can cast Q on your allies before they initiate on fights, the Q root will follow them after they blinked as long as you havent released it yet W+E: you negate the damage part of E, leveling W to 2 gives you more leeway to cast 2 E's.. W+Q: you can dispel W on any target by using Q For ulti: 1. You can cast blink dagger to get away during fights, even if you are being damaged, as long as you arent disabled. Salve also works here, cant be cancelled and does double heal. 2. All sources of heals received by the target wit Ulti are doubled. If you wanna ensure someone survives, use W+E combo. Multiple E stacks. 3. You only take damage if you didnt outheal the damage you received.

You can purge dust of appearance with your q Also you can heal nuke enemy’s and follow up with dispelling the heal over time effect with q

fun fact: when oracle first appeared in dota 1 his ultimate originally has invisibility. edit: also he uses the priest model

I know this is trimmed from stream but does Grubby ever find out that his ult DOUBLES heals, including other sources such as mek, urn, wand, LC W, etc.?

basic support stuff 1. never show urself in lane 2. so u can channel ur root, cc from fog 3. go to setting, set off autoattack after skill

fyi, in my experience the Replay Function is quite bugged. Usually going to a different tab and a short time later checking back to the game tab will show the Replay being available. When I want it to notify me when the Replay is available it usually only does it *after* I've watched the Replay^^

So im seeing a team of huskar dazzle and oracle Huskar goes ham an when he gets low dazzle shalow grave and then just as that expires oracle ult huskar. Huskar hits satanic to start getting hp back but since he cant gain hp under oracle ult he stays low hp and can attack crazy fast until oracle ult expires and all that satanic lifesteal comes back at once

If you have chance try to ask Insania to train you on this hero. He knows couple of interesting tricks, watched a while ago, dunno whether it was stream or smth else

to me, the only support hero that lets you be the boss and ordering your cores(looking at you offlaners) to not be a pussy. either they trust me or lose the game, there's no in between. securing ranged creep in lane is also fun, the same way of denying it too, also the disarm to interrupt them enemy lasthitting lol, not to mention your 1 and 3(3,1,3 or just 1,3) burst combo is most of the time 'securing kills', faster travel, faster octarine core, get the better support positionin then being a living pain in the ass for your enemy.

Finally, u reach my 1st hero i played in dota 2 😅, this most complex support which is good for sustain every teamfight but fragile to be picked off

Here a simplest way to win ur lane with oracle Channel ur skill 1 while it channelling use skill 3 on your skill 1 target Rinse and repeat enemy gonna buy alot of regen just to sustain the lane

I wouldn't say the most complex hero but this hero requires timing and precision as casting the ults within the correct time frame is the key between life and death.

This hero might need a coaching session lol. Even as a viewer, not playing, it was hard to know what you should be doing at any given time with your spells. So complicated!

I have like 600 games on this hero and god bless my friends who had to sit with me through the first 100 or so of it. The amount of allies I killed/enemies I saved are not healthy.

Exactly my thoughts. Oracle needs complete understanding of what you can do. It's so unnecessarily complex, unlike dazzle.

I mained this hero since dota 1, played as a mid core and this guy is literally do-all and doesnt lose at mid. Mid is over by level 3. As a support, you shouldnt be babysitting your core and should be forcing trades. You outheal them after trades while both their sidelanes send more resources to sustain them, if they dont, theyll die by the next trade with how much damage you are doing. Be mindful to teach your team how oracle works, most newbies and low ranks have zero idea how your spells work. On higher level, tell them who is getting priority of your ulti during big fights.

oracle is my main.. i still tend to make mistakes but thats cause of my old age, but oracle can be so amazing early game "Securing Kills ;)" but fave moments is having some magic dmg dealers like zeus/orge/necro chase you around trying to kill you but nope, you have holy locket and greaves and amazing W/2 + E/3 combo and im just going to leave and make yous waste mana (true story) oracle is better in lower ranks if your playing aggressive (specially early game with level 4 E/3 nuke-age) but i believe higher ranks play a bit safer cause you can put yourself out of position as the support (or your carry decides to not pay attention)

Its hard to time perfectly with communication but this character is really strong. By his skills it's like he has mekanse halbeard bkb by himself. My friend use this hero till 8-9k mmr

Not complicated at all. Just takes a game to see exactly how his skills synergies with his others as the demo is hard to control everything so you can see them work properly. Although you missed the most important part of the ult description in the demo. It doubles heals that was taken during the duration. So flames heals a ton more. So with the cooldown talent you can heal almost all heroes from 1 hp to full within he 10 second ult duration(assuming no damage was taken from enemies)

Well, its better to not use W at all if two heroes are fighting each other, only use when your team is fleeing, nobody minds if u didn't block sky ultimate killing him, but if he tries to attack and you disarm him he will hate u and never forget that

Oracle is not so hard to play if you know how all the spell works. When I first played the oracle I got 9 reports cause I was healing all the enemy and end up saving them. Generally when oracle ulti allies and if the enemy damage exceed more than healing, than allies always end up dead

His instant cast 25 talent is strong but you lose the ability to precast on yourself to purge stuff like euls, orchid, global silence, tornado, fear, and other soft disables. You can wake up allies from sleep like stomp with your Purifying Flames. I wrote a massive message about Oracle but deleted it all...

i do believe oracle is the most complex support, other than positioning and mechanical issue its very important to coordinate your skill with your teammate, which kinda hard to do in pub

You really allowed that bounty hunter to get into your head. Just let him sneak around and focus on punching primal beast to give farm to luna. After all, if you don't play his game, him skulking around won't do him any good.

Wish I would get you teams even 25% of the time(when determining your rank) . You are carried so hard from your teammates every game where you always almost always have a good chance to win even in games you lost. I’m glad you got carried to legend rank(if you haven’t seen his later videos, he got legend rank when he started playing ranked, and he is still quite clueless on to many things, but this is normal for how long he was playing for). If you got morons all the time on your team when getting your rank you would likely be too frustrated to play much, and I like your videos. Of you are not good enough to be able to solo games , if you get stuck below archon, you are basically rolling the dice on your teammates knowing anything other than the absolute basics of dota and maybe what half the heroes do. O, and also rolling the dice on teammates who play ranked with heroes they are trying for the first or second time. Although the thing I hate the most is people who just want to farm for over an hour to get or almost get fully 6 slotted before wanting to end the game. And this is when the game is over 20+ minutes earlier. This generally ends up with the game being lost when you had the win.

I see Oracle almost only in Pro games. He is too complex for most of the casual players to time his spells correctly including myself 🙃

This was so painful to watch.. Aside from using Demo mode he should just watch someone play this hero in a replay.. His decision making was very bad.

6:08 the ult delays the damage. Since you used Fate's Edict after your ally got nuked, he already took all those damage, just delayed, and the damage from the ult is converted to a damage type kthat ignores resistance/armor/etc which is why Ogre still dies. You need to use ult then immediately followed by Fate's Edict before your ally gets nuked since that way he doesn't actually take damage.

Well grubby I guess 2 main things should be stated. You can dispel the healing from E casted on an enemy by using Q. Ideally channel Q and while its flying cast E. When Q lands it will dispel the heal. Secondly, healing salve can be used with your ult to double its healing and it cant be dispelled since your ulted ally does not take any damage, and healing salve is dispelled only if you take damage. Costs gold but its mana free.
