Spa man thank you for the video. You mentioned the ground wire meeting code (I assume 10awg) but that spas don't like that. Can you elaborate? Thank you.

Our electrician just did the same thing - a hot and the neutral were switched. No breakers tripped and no fuses blew, but the tub still does not work. No obvious burn marks or smells from the board, so really not sure what is wrong now…? Any ideas?

For things like this you would need to talk to Scott.. He will be in the shop tomorrow morning hive hime a call.. On a side note we fix this problem two or three times a week sometime no big deal had one a couple days ago that the entire pack had to be replaced .. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

@@TheBFFee it ended up being a blown fuse on the board - $2 fix. You have to take the fuses off of the board to test them for continuity.

I AM a licensed electrician and I need you to explain your issue with a #10 ground wire? And why it causes trouble with hot tubs ? Very unusual statement ? Are you a licensed electrician ??

Mine just keeps saying 18.88 I replaced the element it kept blowing breaker and burned the board Replaced sensors in the balboa Ran through everything let it do its process worked for a day now just says 18.88 and the top buttons won’t function but it turns on and is stuck in 18.88 cal spa

@@spaman5440 The Balboa was wire wrong. Fix and running. I did notice the directions said to check the GFCI before you jump into the hot tub.

I have a Dream Maker 2 person spa. I need a 4-position mini panel for it. Balboa system. COmputer is called a "Mach 7". Can your shop supply such an item?

I get that problem. But i have a question. Im not a hot tub guy and nor a electrical guy. But i know my jet pump on my balbao system was failing. I just replaced the pump. Before i did my aux pump worked awesome. I just fill up and turned on. The new pump works great. Heat works. But now the aux pump won’t even make a noise. So my question is why lol.

There is no way to predict how long a a pump/motor or heater will last or when a hot tub will get a leak. What I do know is it doesn't matter how old a hot tub is once one of the pump/motors goes the second/third ones are not far behind. I make notes on this all the time and I kinda treat it like tires on a car if you have four old tires and two of them are really worn out and you replace just the two tires the other two tires are not far behind.Hope this helps Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

I've got a balboa board inside a cal spa hot tub. Tripping breaker after disconnecting all pumps heater, etc. And still tripping right when I reset the breaker. I found 2 glass fuses that didn't have continuity. Can any of those fuses if blown trip thr breaker?

Sounds like that was a idiot who hooked it up. And never checked voltage when he was done as a fail safe to make sure it was set up correct. Good electrician always check there work if possible to make sure it works.

You see how at the end of your video you checked voltage. It take less then 30seconds to check voltage and see that a leg was missing and only getting 120 volts and not the 240 needed

In my experience with the Spa I have at my cabin in Northern Arizona .. I find Well water to be a little more tricky to maintain then city water. But please understand I do not have much experience with Well water. Wish I could Help more.

Spa control pannel reads 8888.. Spa cycles and will not shut off and jet buttons do not work.. Any idea.?

Having an issue with my balboa pack and I cannot figure out what's going on. Do you have a video we're it explains when the power keeps going off and when I push on the wires in the box there is a clicking noise and the power comes on to the spa but when I turn the jets on the power shuts off after a couple of seconds.?

If you are pushing on or moving wires and your power is going off and on.. Am I hearing you right ? then you have a lose connection some place ...If you can you might want to call Scott at the office and he can help you with this one ..We need more info. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

@@spaman5440 The pump was circulating yesterday but stopped this morning. After checking connections I noticed when I pushed on certain wires and or pushed on what I think are possibly relays there was a loud click, power would come on then off.. It would be great to talk to someone in detail and offer any help so I can get my wife off of my ass on how she cannot use the spa.. haha.. where may I find the number to call and the best times to call at Scott's convince?

Can you tell me what this what have done to the hot tub other than not provide enough power? Did it cause damage in this case?

In this particular one the home owner was very lucky and it did not cause any damage that I can remember.(I did this way over a year ago) I do get one or two a month that are wired wrong like this and one of the Hot wires and the common/neutral wires were reversed and it burns up the board , wires or the breaker it all get down to how many time they turned on the breaker or what type of hot tub it is when they are trying to get it to set. My rule of thumb is when I turn on breaker and it trip or nothing happens I might try one more time if I still get nothing I turn off the breaker and start looking for what I think is the cause of the problem from what I hear ,see , smell. Usually I find that something was wired wrong or a fuse is blown. Hope this Helps and Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
