For as much of a drip as Alan is he did really well with that, fair play to him. 👏🏻 The old chef was really nice to the young lad, bless him. ☺️

The Cameraman/Presenter of the Documentary is SO helpful to all the staff! So good to see. Sometimes people just need help from everyone around them. In stark contrast to Victor whom is a really obnoxious.

I wouldn't have believed how awful this hotel is, and all of the staff, and the owner, had I not worked in a tacky hotel, just like this, for a few months. LOL

The thing is Alan helped the actors who didn’t have anyone else. Honestly. Also the cigarette group is good for them to work as a team.

I watched this program years ago but could not rember the hotel been to Blackpool a couple of times it’s now busy with a lot of hotels

Worth a stay just for the personality in the place back then. I visited a B&B in BP, just a few years back and it was hilarious. You couldn't fault it for trying.

I do hope Alan went on to make a career out of acting, he's; lovely and can apparently turn his hand to anything.

Why do so many utterly inept, clueless people assume that they can run a hotel?

The owner really can't complain about that lift. Get it fixed and you won't have this problem all the time.

There didn't seem to be much uptake on guests for the murder mystery though. On glance it looked about 20 or so.

Does Mrs W ever do any work swanning around on boats and so on then going in with not a good word for her staff, lazy woman like most who are the boss!

Stayed in this last year...was not impressed. Lift wasn't working and we were on floor 6 with 7 flights of stairs to climb, food was distinctly average and the dining room smelt of boiled cabbage, the bar, though open had no staff serving and the staff that were all foreign and seemed overworked. The so called cabaret consisted of one bloke singing over backing tracks and the advertised bingo was cancelled. The lady on reception though was a little gem and ended up rushing backwards and forwards between the two bars and the dining room...poor thing totally overworked. Non of the staff in this video were working there and i'm wondering is the place under new management, the place is now looking shabby and needs a makeover. The room we were in was acceptable though and was worth the (low end) price we paid for it.
