In this video, you'll learn how to create simple C4D-like attractor dynamics using Houdini. Nothing too fancy. Nothing too scary. Just some good old SOPs and DOPs and maybe a line of VEX.

In bullet "convex hull" is much lighter then "concave" to calculate. For example if you need destroy few huge buildings far away from camera, which creates millions of debris, you don't need a precise calculations. So you can save time for your sim, because nobody will see the details in a distance. So it is just more efficient and faster.

Thanks. Veri useful. One question, how to change rbd objects from low poly (for sim) to high poly (for render)?

object transform works if you use the object at obj level and the transforms there, othervise houdini thinks its deforming mesh if you use transform sop
