100 million% seriously. I got straight A's in high school, except History where I STRUGGLED to get a B- because of the monotone teacher who shaped the classroom desks in a horseshoe shape facing him so he could see the students who fell asleep. I was DEFINITELY one of those students. AND I even fell asleep on my History book every night! If Ballen had taught my high school History class I would definitely have gotten an A! So captivating - probably due to he has passion for the stories!

My husband works from home and listens to you while he works upstairs and I leave your Podcasts on all day as long as we are home and not busy. You just have this way of telling a story that makes it entertaining not just entertains but visually reachable to the listener. A very important part in telling a story that you have captured. Thank you for sharing your gift with all of us. 😊

On the bright side, the fact that I've seen 87% of all Johns videos makes it hard to watch, now that this hourly channel os here, it's such a relief! All in at least rough chronological order too! On the shitty side, mrballen gets no credit for these other than the title, and most people don't realize this isn't his channel if you read the comments. He's doing alright now with his 7.5 mil subs, he'll be fine hahaha Edit: Mom I'm famous!! 3 likes 😬

In my oponion, I think that he just laid down and died and over time the dirt or sand just covered him and being on an island the salt content in the ground kept his body from decaying thereby preserving the bones from turning yellow, much like the way meat was preserved back in the day. IDK I may or may not be right. Salt has been used as a preservative for millennia.

I’ve been intrigued by the lighthouse story for many years after first hearing about it on coast to coast a.m. radio station. what really got me was that this Elean more Isles was so remote from Scotland that the next landmass and would be the eastern seaboard of United States. And there was no beach to land on, only a series of many steps carved into the cliff that you would have to climb in order to access the island
@Algimantaz

it is NOT closer to the north american seaboard, have you googled it?! it's right next to scotland, and mrballen says in the video that residents from a nearby scottish isle could see it.

I cannot discount other people’s paranormal experiences just because similar incidents have not happened to me. No one can explain reincarnation experiences. Especially when they turn out to have knowledge of other locations and people that no one would know except the person they appear to be reincarnated from. 😮 It’s a mystery

Ok first: “close enough for government work” is a real expression. They overlook indigenous relics all the time. B’cause it would halt progress. I didn’t hear WHY they surveyed it again, except the supposition that they were considering a refuge. I know the men or women doing the survey would not necessarily have had all the info or reasons. Second: As I mentioned military/government contractors and workers overlook indigenous relics all the time. Unless someone on the survey found it who would have recognized the registry, recognized the grave, or recognized that it was not a grave from some episode in the last 200 years, it would have been overlooked and forgotten. Third: surveys are often conducted with unskilled workers and only a few real surveyors. The unskilled labor walks out the lines, cuts brush, scales terrain and does really hard physical labor. They don’t care about anything but the next point of measurement. (My husband has worked his way up doing this) Fourth: when dealing with ancient civilizations, “recent burial” often means within the last few decades. But is usually unique to the examiner. A military examiner would be cursory, unlike a criminal examiner. “No this is not a relic, no special care need be taken.” Or otherwise abbreviated observation. I didn’t hear that actual DNA was conducted. Perhaps it was. But simply recognizing the evidence of the boat, the evidence of a plainly Caucasian skeleton, of a certain developmental age, buried in the last several decades, would have been enough to extrapolate the identity. The question remains, but I suspect the men drifted, some died. A foreign agency picked them up- perhaps pirates who very definitely still operate. Perhaps the survivor/s were forced labor?? Perhaps Moorman passed, but had a friend, who took his remains back to the island he was picked up from. Perhaps he had written on the pages, heat makes ink disappear. Maybe he tried protect it with the aluminum. My observation.

The missing lighthouse keepers is indeed mysterious. Don't see how we can ever know what actually happened. The only thing that occurs to me is that they ate something that caused hallucinations. Sea Bream is apparently a fish that causes reactions of this kind. I suppose they ate a lot of fish - but maybe not. If not it might be a food of some other kind. Occam's Razor says that when you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains must be the answer. But then in a universe of which 95% is unknowable, any flipping thing is possible!

That was a great story!! I’m from Vancouver, Canada and may have a story suggestion? I believe it was called “the milkshake murder”? The large sign that factors into this story was there from before I was born in the 1950’s, until about 10 years ago. Every time we’d pass the sign, my parents would repeat this famous murder. Hopefully you’ll find it interesting? Canadian fan🇨🇦

While I just adore watching and listening to you tell your stories on KZfaq I have over the last two years realized that there are others out there that do the same thing that you have decided to do, However there is no one out there as delightful as you or has the voice that is easy to listen to. My name is Denise and I am from salt lake City everyone that I know and that I have just met I ask them if they've ever heard of you mr. Ballen. Recently last week I sent out a request that you search out one of our most horrific in salt lake City/Washington State stories.That would be the Susan and Josh Powell story it is probably one of the worst stories stories that we have all heard here in the state and maybe across the country. It is worth researching. approximately happened about five years ago or less. There are quite a few stories that you tell that just stick with me and I can watch them over and over again as I've heard some of your viewers say before this is one of those stories. I'm sure you won't have a hard time finding this story as it did happened here in salt lake City and Washington area. Please keep up with the originality as you have a massive amount of viewers around the world. Thank you Denise Shubert

On the reincarnation story i do believe its possible to have memories that aren't yours. Memories either from a past life or from ancestors long past. My moms family have this family home in Oklahoma. And when my mom showed me pictures of the house and places around town i recognized it all from my dreams. I would dream of this house every night and the families that lived there. I instantly pointed to the house and said thats the house from my dreams and theres a big porch on the back with a huge tree where he fell and cracked his skull. I dont know who he was it was just the words that came out. From the picture you couldn't see a tree (that was cut down) or the porch that was removed before my mom was born. And her grandmas cousin had fallen from a tree cracked his skull and died so they cut the tree down to stop the kids from climbing it and getting hurt. She also showed me a picture of the library she would go to and before she said that i pointed to it and said thats the school house but the garden is gone. She then said no its a library there was never a garden. A while later she found a picture of it as a old school house with a flower garden out front. Ive never been there but these memories felt so vivid in my dreams and after seeing the house i stopped dreaming about it.

My guess would be that a very large tornado hit the island late in the middle of the night when everyone on the main land was asleep

There was a storm more than likely that swept them away. It's easy to not notice a storm when you aren't in it.

On the Serah Joe boat disappearance. They could’ve been stranded on another island they did have water for six years but no one ever saw them there and then they decided to drift try their other chances to be seen at See or stumble upon another island that might be inhabited. Also I thought I saw someone else’s assumption that the booklet/pages with the foil might’ve been a Japanese or Chinese tradition that when you bury someone you put something in with them and that was a very Asian culture the foil within the pages and there might’ve been writing in there but was bleached out

I agree with you I think they didn't scour the island good enough. Perchance whoever buried him also died on the island, but there was no one to bury them. Maybe a storm could have washed their bones out. It is quite the puzzlement😮🤠
