I am really enjoying the barn build. Just a suggestion, the end wall past the stalls (same wall as bathroom but on the stall side) would make a great spot for a barn door. Taking the ponies to the fields that way might be easier but more importantly it gives another exit in case of an emergency, barns should always have 2 ways out for safety reasons. Can’t wait to see the finished tackroom, nothing better than a well organized tackroom ❤

Wood chip will be a good temporary solution for all weather turnout but it will mulch down and need digging out and replacing regularly, so I would suggest next year during the summer (or depending on finances the next summer!!!!) you dig it out and replace with silica sand on top of the mud control mats. Woodchip can also be slippery...... Pure silica sand is not madly expensive, I paid a little over £400 for 10 tonns this winter to add to my hoggin and gravel all weather turnout

After work it was so relaxing to sit and enjoy your happy anticipation for the all the progress being made. Your dad is an absolute gem. 😇 The flexibility of the electric fencing allows you to refine your configuration especially where the track system is concerned until you get the layout you want. It might come in handy for micromanaging certain areas. It's fun to see what others have done with their paradise paddock tracks; herb gardens for horses, pond with sandy area for water play & rolling, watering & feeding stations at the far end to get them moving around the track, scratching station..
