Very fun watch. It's sad how much of the cast has passed away over the years, but luckily we still have Bill. That man is a treasure. He still randomly likes my social media posts every now and then even though I met him way back in 2012. He really cares about the fans.
@HoxMouse

Same deal here, had random little online interactions with him and got to meet him a time or two in person previously, he's so cool to chat shit with. He also had a band with him singing and Buckethead doing guitars, which always needs mentioning lol

I love Bill so much. Sometimes he heart reacts my insta stories that feature his posts in them. He also has fun on cameo a lot without it seeming like he’s just shilling for lost glory like some celebs on there. He loves horror as much as his fans if not more so he can genuinely relate to them

Glad to see someone has similar responses when seeing Walton Goggins. Ever since I watched The Shield, the guy keeps standing out to me. And I'm here for it. Hell, 60% of the reason I have that latest Tomb Raider film a shot was because Walton was in it as the villain.

@@witchwaist Yup. The other 40% was because I really injoyed the reboot game it was supposedly a adaptation from, but it seemed more interested in setting up the inferior story of the sequels rather than the story itself. But yes, great actor.

Honestly really like this new style of video from you. Like you mixed all your previous eras of video production together & distilled it down into something bite sized. & lol at the shots fired at Repo, the "underage fans" bit is so unsurprising that I kinda just assumed I already knew he did that.

You should do a video on Repo!! It's cringe but still, in my opinion, really enjoyable to watch. So silly and earnest. Definitely a nostalgic movie for me since the friend I shared a strong homoerotic bond with showed it to me in middle school. So many afternoons spent watching Repo on her laptop, sharing space beneath its heat. Where was I going with that? Anyways.

You really put everything into words perfectly like yeah that's exactly how I would describe this movie. It's most likely nowhere near an actually good movie but it's a wonderful experience that I never get tired of watching. The characters have so much personality(and by characters I only mean the Firefly family), the set pieces are fun, the editing, the way its shot, everything.

Given that a large chunk of your audience is probably already comprised of cult media fans, you could probably take a year hiatus or more and still come back to a pretty devoted base, so I wouldn't worry about the number of videos. I'm floored by the speed and volume at which you produce art. (A third book already?! Envy envy envy) I was so stoked to hear you talk about this one! Please god please eviscerate Terrence Zdunich and Repo. I lost years of my dumb life to that fandom as a younger skuppy RHPS devotee. Looks like I missed out on a FLUIDS signed first, but I'm still hoping to grab GIRLFLESH this weekend! All hail Queen May 👑

I unapologetically love this movie. Flaws, nonsense, and all. It's a shame Universal tried to kill it, and what was left on the cutting room floor became lost forever, making a director's cut impossible. Although, it is pretty cool that this movie was saved by the company that brought us Power Rangers.

I think Laura Crone's video on Repo! kind of nailed what's fundamentally wrong with that movie (and Terrance Zdunich as an artist and a person), but I'd nonetheless be very curious to see the official May Leitz take on it at some point. House of 1000 Corpses seems like a fun time, though.

This pretty much summed up my entire feelings for this film back when I first saw it as a kid, and rewatching it religiously and becoming obsessed with it and devils rejects as an adult 🙌🙌. There are moments that make me undeniably cringe so hard that my face muscles sink into themselves; namely baby’s laugh and the overuse of the word motherfucker (rob clearly didn’t learn that lesson in 3 from hell sadly), but then there’s moments that still gross me out and disturb me and on the other hand laugh so hard that I almost cry, and then confuse me as to how I can have both simultaneous reactions. It set out to be a true one of a kind macabre murderfest/contrarian comedy experience and on that front it didn’t disappoint in the slightest! Also I need captain spaulding’s “pigs is beautiful” shirt so badly

My best friend and I at the time caught this opening night. I'd been a fan of backwoods freak horror for years at that point, and this movie basically had every thing I wanted. Even Sherri was fun and fitting. Devil's Rejects left me pretty lukewarm, but this has held up over those 20 years.

YOU WON?!?!? AND IT BROKE ?!?!?! I always felt that Blockbuster, with their parental advisory stickers, they would be quite lacking at times with their horror section! But I also grew up in the south and they could have been a choice by the/afranchised store perhaps? Meh! The one I went to never had any Italian horror, was always American. But mine did have a copy of Bloodsuckers From Outer Space 😂 I remember when I saw the House of 1000 Corpses trailer, the teaser trailer. All it showed were a few people in hazmat suits with this reddish green light over them while they were digging up a grave. Title Card. And then the film didn't come out for almost seven to ten years after I saw that trailer in the theater 😂 Great video fellow Tuber. Cheers !

"In a world where the concept of horror movie is somehow almost synonymous with boring these days, this movie is a godsend." My thoughts exactly. I'm extremely tired of all the "subversive," "intelligent," "meaningful," horror movies that come out now. Give some blood and guts and a fun villain or plucky final girl and I'll be a happy camper. And while I don't think House of a Thousand Corspes is some sort of masterpiece or anything, I see it as a prime example of the "who gives a fuck" horror movies that I love so much.

The hardest thing I have with this movie was the build up to it. Like as someone who is a bit older than you, I was there when like it was first announced, and then when the studio changed its mind, and then when another studio picked it up, and it was happening again! And then it wasn't! And it was like literally 3-4 years of this build up. Oh the studio said it was too much, too violent, too much gore, it's going to be the worst thing you've ever seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen. And then it was finally released, there was just no way it could have ever lived up to the hype. How do you live up to anticipation like that? It ruined whatever it could have been for me unfortunately.
