David, you don’t know me and I really doubt you remember, but about a year ago I was pretty mean and disrespectful to you over a post you shared on Facebook. I used to follow you back in maybe 2016 because of your Bible videos. In 2020 I fell away and harbored a lot of anger towards the church over church hurt my wife and I experienced. I let my anger completely take over me and I lashed out and everyone, you included. For the last 8 months I have had no social media and have been in the word and studying daily. I haven’t landed in a church yet but it’s something I’m considering, albeit carefully. I just wanted to sincerely apologize to you. I was just an angry man looking for a fight and I was wrong.

The system is broken. No more stages, no more hierarchy, no more leadership. Just brothers & sisters as equals with Christ as the head of his Church.

If IHOP was taught that they were superior to quote "MAINSTREAM CHARISMATICS", there is a seed of pride at work. That could be a root of the downfall. The Pharisees would love to think they are better than other Charismatics.

Wonderful that you are empowering Christians to rely on the Word and the Spirit for themselves. The most concerning thing I see is when Christians outsource their full faith to and depend on other imperfect humans rather than Jesus alone.. hence the reactions when they inevitably fail in some way. Same with people outsourcing their health and bodily autonomy to medicine, their safety and provision to the government, list goes on. God bless you for your loving effort on this channel!

I think people are hurt and angry because the toxicity of the place is hard to explain and it really hurts when people gaslight you and make you feel bad and wrong when you’re not doing anything wrong. I think you haven’t experienced it.

Are the positions of "prophet" and "apostle" being sold through conference fees, tuition, certificates, membership in networks, "suggested donations", etc.? I think the charismatic church is not addressing this enough.

So sorry to derail the topic but could you give an opinion on the rabbi at Rock of Israel Congregation in Hickory via his latest sermons this month (in your spare time of course). He's not a Calvinist nor an OSAS'er. But he might be a legalist. It's hard to tell. In a recent sermon it seemed Galatians was not his favorite book because he says we should still "do the best we can" to obey the 613 laws. Yet he preached today (7/27) about seeking Gods face not his hand and true repentance. I need another set of ears and already asked several friends to come and hear for themselves and give an opinion, but nobody's come yet. Thanks.

we are so worried about calling this one apostle and this one bishop that we forget the example of Jesus who washed stinking dirty feet and said if you want to be like me, roll up your sleeves, get on your knees and wash the feet of the least of your brothers and do it with a spirit of humility and servitude and then maybe you will know what it is to be my disciple.

Mike himself started ihop out of God rebuking him because he was operating in the fear of man by staying with Vinyard. Would God demanded of a man who had taken advantage of a little gril who did not repent to start a movement that is supposed to usher in the return of Christ after the chruch goes through the tribulation?? Now would God also use that same unrpentive man to settle once and for all the church not being rapture b4 the tribulation?? Those are the 2 question all at ihopkc have to come to grips with. Nore am I going to stand out side Ihopkc starting arguments.
