So much about the sincerety of a person can be determined by listening to a single sermon. About 6 or 8 months ago before all this blew up, I finally listened to a sermon by the person in question and noticed no sense of the Holy Spirit. He made a certain point about 3 different times as though he hadn't said it right the first 2 times or it hadn't made the impact he expected because the anointing was not there. As one who was 90% fooled by both Ravi Zacharias and James McDonald (and a few others) I'm well attuned by now to the little red flags that pop up, and know to pay attention to them. As a result there are very few preachers/teachers I will listen to. I recall my first days after being born again when it was just me the Bible and the Holy Spirit. No preacher coached me (watered down) or (mis)led me. I simply read the pure unadulterated Bible and God Himself taught me from His Word. Sometimes I wish I'd never left my bedroom. Things started going south as I listened to preachers water down the Word and mislead/misinterpret the Word. Bottom line, I've learned to ALWAYS be a noble Berean, no matter who is speaking or how perfect his doctrine and relationship is to God. I like David. I like James Peat and Joe Schimmel, Derek Prince, David Pawson and a few others, but I do not agree 100% with all they say. (I've learned the hard way to implicitly trust no one!) Remembering this: "No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD." Jeremiah 31:34.

Good teaching. Thank you for sharing. I agree. I saw what happened to Driscoll and was disappointed the response of christians, here on KZfaq. And disappointed about the way things panned out. At one point I even thought driscoll and lindell planned it to show people how to "do matt 18" or something. I thought they tried to appear spiritual, while it is all a show. But lindell soon showed himself much much less spiritual, which should come as no surprise after that performance at the pole. I haven't heard of Lindell before, and I am not interested in knowing him more.

Hopefully the PH of Bickle is seen as 💯 % false. Because it is. Always has been while he lived in hidden sin and double life.

This is such a good and timely word! I haven't yet watched your other ones on IHOPKC, but was definitely interested in your take on that men's conference incident. Brad and I discussed it thoroughly (we didn't know Mark had apologized at the end) and we're on the same page as you. I was recently reading through Paul's letters and asked Brad (rhetorically), "Why don't more people preach out of Paul?" That " men's conference " was ridiculous, not Scripture focused. If you are Christ loving believer going to the church that hosted that conference....pray that The Lord draws and leads you to a Bible centered church. Not that we " compare ourselves by ourselves" , look at a Shepherds Conference ". G3 conferences. Ligonier conferences. The focus on those is God. Christ. The Spirit. Biblical topics and theology. They have such a high view of God, of Scripture.
