House of the Dragon covers a period of time where the Targaryen's ruled and dragons filled the skies, known as the Dance of the Dragons.
The Dance of the Dragons, also known as the Dying of the Dragons, was a civil war during Targaryen rule of the Seven Kingdoms. A war of succession between Aegon II and his half-sister Rhaenyra over their father Viserys I's throne, the war was fought from 129 AC to 131 AC.
This series will have will be a feast for the eyes with amazing locations, battles and of course dragons. With a healthy dose of political intrigue and dubious alliances.

Great video. I saw the trailer for ep 2 and can certainly tell the series will get much better as the story developes. I need more dragon action, barely saw them in ep 1.

Agreed, I think they had a lot to set up in episode 1. Once character's and stakes are established I think we are in for a great series.

Ok I did not expect to become so obsessed with this as I have been. I personally hope they one day do Aegons Conquest in the future. I'm curious how far they go, because imo the trailer just for season 1 looks like it's covering a lot of years of dance of the dragons already

Bro love the video but how did you forget about the dagger. When the king is talking about the song of Ice and fire he touches the handle of the dagger that Arya used to kill the White Walker.

Yeah, reminding TV show watches of Season 8 was a weird choice, but in the context of the books this reveal provides insight to the motivation of alot of character's. Not just Aegon but his successors, specifically Rhaegar's motivations, in Roberts Rebellion. I will have a video later this week covering Dragon Dreams, What they are, what they mean and who has them.

I think GRRM is likely going to add that fact into his Fire & Ice saga, bc it’s an excellent explanation as to what really drives Aegon to risk so much (permanent break w/ his younger brother, potential civil war) to name his daughter his heir.
