Daemon and Laena have two daughters: Baela (named for Daemon's father Baelon) who has a dragon (not seen, not yet old enough to ride) and the slightly younger Rhaena, whose dragon egg never hatched. (in the book, they were twins, but in the TV series, they are not)

The delivery of the "afterbirth" (the placenta) might seem repulsive, but if the mother does not completely expel it, she can get an infection that will kill her - a definite danger in our own world before the advent of modern medicine (with emphasis on hygiene and the ability to better detect and remove such material).

17:56 There's black couples who end up having albinos kids even white couples end up having albinos kids. Laenor's mother has black hair, that's why Rhaenyra's kids have black hair.
