This video shows how to fit a 120mm disc brake to any Hoverboard wheel. Note that this video is only a guidance and please feels free to DIY in your way and use the resources you have.

Good job, I think a way to improve upon this would be an adapter with 12 holes (can be adjusted) but the idea would be half of the screws are attached from the rear and locktite in place, whilst the remaining screws can be accessed from the front to check tightness, maintain the brakes whilst using a full length screw. or if you can weld, weld the adaptor to the side plate and use all holes from the front

Thanks Dean! Your idea is something that I would consider in my next project. Due my lack of proper equipment, I’ve done this project on this way, as I don’t have alloy welder machine…I’m trying to save some money to invest on some decent equipment for my garage and definitely improve all my other ongoing projects. I have a working hoverboard motor (tested on another system ) , I have purchased a brand new 36v controller with lcd ( s866 ) brand new throttle and brand new hoverboard battery for my e bike project but I'm experiencing no throttle issues I have checked voltage and purchased 3 brand new throttles checked wires tried swapping around but still no throttle

good idea but it has to many points that could fail and could all fail at one time try and make the disk mount as a one object machine a new hoverboard plate with the disk break mount built on it or make a new hoverboard plate with threads so the disk mount could screw on to it

not bad but why use 2 small spacers and screws on the disc? perfectly a single adapter with long screws from inside the motor to the outside and instead of using cut screws use nuts, it will be more stable and firmer apart from the fact that it is better to tighten crosswise, first below, then above, little by little to the sides to prevent it from being tighter on one side and consequently it will not be aligned.

This adaptation was designed to suit my specific customised project. This video is only to inspire people and show to people that is possible to fit a disc brake onto a Hoverboard wheel. From there, all ideas are enabled like yours! I liked indeed. Thanks buddy!
