In today's video we explore how you can write an estimate for water mitigaiton services using 3 different platforms which include: Xactimate, Time and Materials and Quickbooks.
We look at example estimates on each platform and explore options on how you can best structure your estimate so that it makes sense to your customer and it allows you to get paid by the insurance company.
Once an insurance company is brought into the equation it becomes a game. If you don't know this to be true, just keep doing jobs. Once you realize that insurance companies play games you can then choose to learn how to play.

Can you do a video about the process of getting paid out. How you go about it. Does the customer get the funds, then the customer pays you? Or do you set something up where the insurance pays you out directly? Do you get the full amount up front before starting the reconstruction work? Than you

I just discovered your KZfaq channel and subscribed. I'm a new Water Restoration Field Supervisor ( so basically sales ) The leads we get from plumbers who also work at the company are always the best leads, however there are more leads that come from dispatch/call center that result in no opportunity and this is commission based work so ( no money ) I am able to self generate my own leads. What do you suggest is the best way to self generate my own quality leads?

When you first start your company there are going to be lots of new pain points with invoicing being one of them. Remember that insurance companies play games. They lie regularly in an effort to reduce your bill. We have an excellent starter program that will help you launch your company. How do you come up with a standard pricing for a fan or dehu being used at a job site? What if you're price is $400 for one fan and xactimate says its $200. How do you reason and justify?

Hey Shane. Hope this finds you well. Thank you for all the info, you are appreciated!!! We are a restoration co. that has a new series, emergency water remediation, etc co. and our first estimate is in a few days. Thought about purchasing xactimate software, however, already own Quick Books, estimate and invoice using that software currently. Watched this video, it was incredibly helpful. If you'd like to chat or have time, a few examples of invoicing / claim estimating may be very helpful. Thanks again!
