In a world often divided, the story of Cindy Tutko and a kind stranger at the Atlanta airport serves as a heartwarming reminder of the power of human connection. When Tutko was struggling to reach her gate due to a limp, an unexpected offer of help arrived. David Begnaud has their story.

How wonderful to see a story of a stranger helping another stranger with no thought of reward. And how sad that such a sweet story has to be newsworthy.😢. We should ALL be ready to help someone we perceive is in need.

My own airport connections…..I do not like escalators…..so every time a approach to go down, I simply look back, stuck my hand out for help, and every time a fellow passenger would come by and takes my arm and support me going down the escalator….it happens quite regularly…..kindness and love in a world we need it so much

I once shared my walker with a woman in church who had a mobility issue. Helping others had been part of the priest's homily. My son-in-law told me I had followed his homily and I said, "Huh?". I didn't realize what I did. But, my favorite story was when my dad was on his way home from work. He had arrived there that morning and was told his dad had died. So, on his way home, he saw a woman on the side of the road with a flat tire and 3 kids in the car. He pulled over and changed the tire. He realized that the 20 minutes it took to change her tire wouldn't bring back his dad, but it put another family safely on the road. I've always been proud of him for that.

We were waiting for our plane and a stranger began teaching our children how to knit while my husband was playing the guitar for her. She said she was going to get something to eat, and then she left. Time passed, and our plane began boarding. We sprinted through the terminals looking for her until we found her and we all made it back just in time. I'm really glad this stranger helped this woman. Even if she didn't have a limp or a brace, being older and having to walk a long way is much more pleasant with someone thoughtful enough to carry her bag and selfless enough to join her on her journey. Being from the suburbs of Chicago and walking through O'Hare myself over the past several decades, I'm sure-whether she was familiar with the layout of the airport or not-that it was a comfort to this woman simply to have someone encourage her that she was almost there as they approached the gate. As an aside, there are many people who only tell people where to go or what to do when they appear to need help. That's why I like shopping at Home Depot. Like this man, the workers there ensure that we get to what we need.

@@tedrinaboone6800 You can actually ask at the desk without pre-booking. You might have to wait quite awhile (heck, you often have to even if you pre-book). My guess is that it would have been forever if the trains were down... too many people might have needed them.

Kindness is a very overlooked manner - I have taught both of my boys to stop and help people - something as simple as putting groceries in their car, or reaching something off a tall shelf in a store - the Bible says in Hebrews 13 “you may have entertained Angels unaware” - be kind and just be a good human being

Praise God for kindhearted people who help others. It took them 55 minutes to go from concourses C to F. They didn't have to walk all that way- they could have gone down beneath the concourses and taken a train from C to F. That train has been in that terminal since it opened in 1980- a lot of time and exercise could have been saved.
