With some additional testing, we determined that the first upper (the loosest shooting rifle in this test) actually tightened to a 1.05" 9 shot, .89" 8 shot group, when we added our suppressor. We have not yet tested the other rifles with suppressors to see if the groups tighten. That group shrinkage mirrors what we've historically seen with running the AEM can on the Mk12 platforms.

Something that really needs to be driven home here is that these are *not* 5 shot groups. A lot of people will be inclined to view these results as poor. The reality is that most ARs will not even break 3 MOA, let alone 2 MOA when doing a 9 or 10 shot group. Anywhere in the realm of 1 MOA on a 10 shot average is *extremely* impressive.

I picked up a URGI upper on a Memorial Day sale last year along with one of Geissele’s two-stage triggers. The combination of precision and smoothness makes for an amazing shooting experience. Meanwhile, I’ve enrolled in training to get my skills caught up to the equipment’s capabilities! Not regretting my purchase at all.

I bought a 10.3” URGI contract overrun as my first AR-15 - it’s still one of the most accurate guns I own, despite getting deep into the competition space since. The 10.3” is still my go-to nighttime gun. They make fantastic guns, don’t let the bendy bill memes distract you.

Okay, for everybody else that doesn't have Josh's credit score, if you want the Geissele performance without the entire price-tag, buy the SSA trigger (about $200) and one of their cold hammer forged, chrome lined barrels (about $600... eta: correction, $300, thank you comments). A barrel swap on an Ar15 takes maybe 30 minutes, if the armorer is also eating lunch at the time. A trigger group swap takes even less time. Add some non-rotating pins (not "drift free", those are bullshit). Done like a dinner. The accuracy in the platform is 90% barrel. Period. The rest of the rifle is just hanging onto it. Have a solid stock, decent trigger and maybe cut down on the caffeine a bit, and wa-Lah, the building blocks of a good day. The IMI Razor Core isn't as accurate as the Black Hills Mk262 with the same bullet, but it is an excellent cartridge. I don't have Black Hills money, but I do have IMI money and the 77 grain Sierra HPBTM is a fantastic round.

I always wanted a Geiselle URGI, but when my fun money stash replenished I built a precision upper with a Proof stainless barrel and SLR rail that absolutely hammers. I don’t regret it at all, but I still want a Geiselle haha

My IWI Zion shot a 1.540" 80% ten shot group at 100 yards with PMC XTAC..... That Geissele upper still calls to me though..... Nanotech coating, chrome lined, pretty colors...

Much to my annoyance, after a considerable expenditure of time and money, I have been unable to build an “SPR” that can outshoot my Black Friday URGI purchase from a couple years ago. 😂 Your experience aligns with the two uppers I have.

BCM Mk2 gets you 90% of what the Super Duty can accomplish. For about $1000-1400. For 2x that, (2000-3000 USD) the Super Duty is SOOOOO worth it. My god I was wrong about other rifles. Other than the Mk2 lower from Griffin Armament, all other rifles just dont compare to the Super Duties. Geiselle is the successor to Stoner. Stoner started it with Armalite... then Colt.... Then Knights Armament.... now Geiselle is the king of the carbine. If Bill Geiselle and his engineers made their own rendition of the PSA Jakl, it would be $3000 and make the M416 and Sig Spear LT completely obsolete.

My 16 inch super duty couldn't get tighter than 5 inches. Geissele told me it was a duty gun not a precision gun. Replaced the barrel with a criterion and now it's sub moa.

I got a Super Duty 14.5, and it's awesome.

This is hilarious, because the same thing happened to me a couple years ago. I bought a 16” Super Duty, put 1k rounds of tula through it without cleaning it, and then shot several sub-MOA groups through it with FGMM. It even shot ~2.25 MOA with the tula…. Between the BF sale that year and the primary arms sales, I ended up with 3 more Super Duty uppers

I have a URGI that I bought from midway 4 years ago. To date it has been my best rifle. Everyone I let try it loves it yet they won’t go buy one. People think a 500 dollar AR is good enough. I learned that lesson back in 2010. You get what you pay for. I also just bought a jakl and I regret it. I should have bought another Geiselle rifle…

Shot this test with a Larue 16 in ultimate upper on Larue lower with LT trigger just for the internet! Same 77 gr Imi. Similar gusty Texas weather. NF at 8 power. 1.193 inch 9 shots, 0.95 90%, first 3 into 0.299 in (how Larue typically measures). Made me open my SHTF ammo for this…excuse to buy more!

The videos I watch on AR accuracy, especially very expensive ARs the more happy I am with my Sig M400! It was $899 or something for the complete rifle. I put a troy alpha rail on it and a muzzle brake. It literally shoots sub MOA 10 shot groups consistently! The point is I'm realizing I really did get lucky as hell and purchased a unicorn AR when it comes to accuracy! I know people won't believe it but I have videos showing it's accuracy on my channel. I don't have a full 10 group in one go filmed but I'll have to do that soon.

My 14.5" URGI is a tack driver. 5 shot groups about 0.46" at 100 meters with 55gr speer gold dot. My 16" super duty is about the same, Geissele hit it out of the park with these rifles.

The G Super Duty & URGI are the most underrated ARs in the market. Currently number 1 in full auto burnout with 900+ rounds, outlasting other Gucci AR like KAC, DD by 60%..sub MOA accuracy out of the box. Take my money already

Not gonna lie, Josh, that "Bill's Special Sauce" has me conflicted 🤔

Last upper I built was with a RRA SOCOM profile chrome lined barrel that I pulled out of a parts bin at Camp Perry for $70 and It consistently shoots 1/2”- 3/4” groups with my 77gr hand loads that duplicate mk262 velocity. My RMR 69gr load shoots about 1MOA out of that upper. In total the upper cost me about $580 including the $300 for the 1-8 Vortex Strike eagle BDC3 optic that’s on it. Josh, I have a bridge for sale that you might be interested in 😂
